김 권한대행은 26일 오전 11시 임기근 기획예산처 차관 주재로 열린 중앙·지방 재정전략협의회에 참석해 지역 주요 사업의 필요성을 설명하고 국비 지원과 제도 개선을 건의했다.
이번 협의회는 17개 광역시·도 부단체장이 참석한 가운데 중앙과 지방 간 재정 협력 강화를 모색하고, 각 지역의 중점 현안에 대한 지원 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 김 권한대행은 지역 미래 경쟁력 확보와 국가균형발전을 위한 핵심 과제로 △‘5극3특’ 산업통상자원부 성장엔진 산업과 관련한 대구시 산업의 조속한 선정 및 국비 지원 △통합지방정부에 대한 구체적이고 선제적인 재정지원 체계 마련 △대구경북 민·군 통합공항 건설에 따른 금융비용 지원 △지역거점 AX(인공지능 전환) 혁신기술개발 사업의 총사업비 최대 반영 등을 제시했다.
특히 대구경북 민·군 통합공항 건설과 첨단 산업 육성 사업은 지역 구조 전환과 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 전략 사업으로, 정부 차원의 재정적 뒷받침이 절실하다는 점을 강조했다.
김정기 권한대행은 “이번 협의회에서 건의한 사업들은 대구의 미래 성장동력 확보와 국가균형발전에 직결되는 과제”라며 “정부와의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 국비 확보와 제도적 지원이 실질적으로 이뤄질 수 있도록 적극 대응하겠다”고 밝혔다.
