【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구광역시는 3월 3일 ‘제60회 납세자의 날’을 맞아 지방세를 성실히 납부한 성실납세자 400명과 시 세입 재정 운영에 기여한 유공납세자 15명을 선정하고 다양한 인센티브를 제공한다고 밝혔다.
시는 건전한 납세문화를 조성하고 납세자의 자긍심을 높이기 위해 '대구광역시 성실납세자 등 선정 및 지원에 관한 조례'에 근거해 2008년부터 매년 성실·유공납세자를 선정·지원해 오고 있다.
성실납세자는 지방세 체납 없이 최근 3년 이상 연간 3건 이상의 지방세를 납부기한 내에 납부한 개인·법인을 대상으로 한다. 유공납세자는 성실납세자 가운데 개인·단체는 연간 1천만 원 이상, 법인은 5천만 원 이상 지방세를 납부한 경우를 기준으로 선정한다.
올해는 재정 기여도와 지역사회 공헌도 등을 종합적으로 고려해 구·군 추천과 지방세심의위원회 심의를 거쳐 성실납세자 400명(개인 360명, 법인 40개사)과 유공납세자 15명(개인 10명, 법인 5개사)을 최종 확정했다.
선정된 성실·유공납세자에게는 ▲1년간 대구시 공영주차장 주차요금 면제 ▲시 금고인 iM뱅크 및 NH농협을 통한 신규 대출 금리 인하 및 각종 수수료 감면 ▲2년간 지역 협력병원 7곳 의료비 할인 혜택이 제공된다. 협력병원은 ▲영남대학교의료원 ▲계명대학교동산의료원 ▲대구가톨릭대학교의료원 ▲곽병원 ▲구병원 ▲세강병원 ▲대구한의대학교부속한방병원 등이다.
이와 함께 유공납세자에게는 2년간 지방세 세무조사 면제, 2년간 1회에 한해 지방세 징수유예에 따른 납세담보 면제 혜택이 추가로 주어진다.
오준혁 대구광역시 기획조정실장은 “어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 성실하게 지방세를 납부해 지역 발전에 기여해 준 납세자들께 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 성실납세자가 존경받고 우대받는 사회 분위기를 조성할 수 있도록 실질적인 지원 정책을 지속적으로 마련하겠다”고 말했다.

Honest taxpayers are individuals and corporations who have paid at least three local taxes on time over the past three years without any delinquent local taxes. Meritorious taxpayers are selected based on the following criteria: individuals and organizations who have paid at least 10 million won in local taxes annually, and corporations who have paid at least 50 million won in local taxes annually.
This year, after comprehensive consideration of financial and community contributions, recommendations from districts and counties and deliberation by the Local Tax Deliberation Committee, 400 conscientious taxpayers (360 individuals, 40 corporations) and 15 meritorious taxpayers (10 individuals, 5 corporations) were finalized.
These conscientious and meritorious taxpayers will receive: ▲ one year of parking fee exemption at Daegu City public parking lots; ▲ reduced interest rates and various fee reductions on new loans through iM Bank and NH Nonghyup, the city's treasury; and ▲ two years of medical fee discounts at seven local partner hospitals. These partner hospitals include: ▲ Yeungnam University Medical Center; ▲ Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center; ▲ Daegu Catholic University Medical Center; ▲ Kwak Hospital; ▲ Koo Hospital; ▲ Segang Hospital; and ▲ Daegu Haany University Hospital of Oriental Medicine.
Additionally, meritorious taxpayers will be exempt from local tax audits for two years and receive a one-time exemption from tax payment guarantees for a two-year deferral of local tax collection.
Oh Jun-hyeok, Director of the Daegu Metropolitan City Planning and Coordination Office, said, "We thank the taxpayers who faithfully paid their local taxes despite difficult economic conditions and contributed to regional development. We will continue to develop practical support policies to foster a social atmosphere where honest taxpayers are respected and treated favorably."
