계명대(총장 신일희) 뮤직프로덕션과 이 에스더 교수(대학원 예술치료학과 학과장)가 문화체육관광부(장관 황희)의 한국저작권위원회 위원으로 위촉됐다.임기는 오는 2024년 9월 19일까지다.

한국저작권위원회는 인공지능, 메타버스 등 신기술 발전에 따른 저작권 환경 변화에 적극 대응하고, 다양한 이해관계를 균형 있게 반영할 수 있도록 교수, 변호사, 소설가 등 각 분야 전문가들로 위원을 구성했다.

이 에스더 교수는 이번 한국저작권위원 위촉됨으로 저작권 분쟁의 조정, 저작권위탁관리업자의 수수료 및 사용료 요율 심의, 저작물 이용 질서 확립 및 저작물의 공정이용을 위한 업무 등을 맡아 수행한다.

이 교수는 미국 TSOAC 뮤직테크놀로지 사운드디자인 감독상 수상(2000), 한국음악교육공학회 학술상 수상(2010)을 비롯해 KBS, 3D 애니메이션 사운드 디자인 및 사운드 슈퍼바이징, 제8회 EBS 고운노래 발표회 사운드 레코딩, 대한민국 창작 게임. 모바일 사운드 디자인 등 실용음악 분야에서 다양한 활동을 펼치고 있다. 

또한, 한국문화융합예술치료협회 회장, 교육부 대학구조개혁위원, 교육부 대학구조개혁 평가/컨설팅/이행점검 위원 등으로도 활동하고 있다.

Keimyung University (President Il-Hee Shin) Music Production and Professor Esther Lee (Dept. of Art Therapy, Graduate School) were appointed as members of the Korea Copyright Commission.

Professor Esther Lee has been appointed as a member of the Korea Copyright Commission of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Hwang Hee) and will continue his tenure until September 19, 2024.

The Korea Copyright Commission is composed of experts in each field, such as professors, lawyers, and novelists, to actively respond to changes in the copyright environment due to the development of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and metaverse and to reflect diverse interests in a balanced way.

As Professor Esther Lee has been appointed as the Korea Copyright Commissioner this time, he is responsible for mediation of copyright disputes, deliberation on commission and royalties rates of copyright management companies, establishment of order for use of works, and fair use of works.

Professor Lee received the TSOAC Music Technology Sound Design Director Award (2000), the Korean Society of Music Educational Engineering Award (2010), KBS, 3D animation sound design and sound supervising, sound recording of the 8th EBS fine song presentation, and Korean creative game. He is engaged in various activities in the field of practical music, including mobile sound design.

He is also the president of the Korean Cultural Convergence Art Therapy Association, a member of the University Structural Reform Committee of the Ministry of Education, and a member of the evaluation/consulting/implementation check of the Ministry of Education, University Structural Reform.
