24일 김부겸 국무총리가 대구 엑스코(EXCO)에서 열린 제17회 국제소방안전박람회에서 참가한 가운데 기자들을 만나 여러 가지 현안에 대한 입장을 전했다.

이날 김 총리는 전두환씨 사망과 관련하여 “정부가 특별히 조문이나 국가장을 치르는 문제에 대해 입장을 정했고 국민들의 정서를 고려했다는 말씀을 드리겠다.”고 설명했다.

이어 코로나19 장기화로 현장대응훈련이 줄어들면서 경찰과 소방의 현장대응능력이 떨어진다는 우려에 대해 “최근 있었던 몇 가지 사건으로 경찰관들이 늠름한 모습을 보이지 못한 부분에 대해 죄송하단 말씀 드린다. 경찰청장의 사과와는 별도로 조직 내에서 어떤 문제점이 실망을 끼쳐드렸는지 철저히 점검하겠다.”는 약속을 전했다.

또한 김부겸 총리는 최근 수도권에 코로나19 확산이 심화되면서 비상대응체계가 검토 되는 가운데 비수도권과 수도권의 적용에 대해 묻는 기자에 질문에 “수도권이 워낙 확진자도 늘고 위중증 환자도 늘고 있어서 수도권에 병상 확 보등 의료 대응 자체가 만만찮은 상황이라 그 문제에 대해 집중할 계획”이라고 설명했다.

그러면서 “전국의 많은 국민들에게 호소하는 이유는 수도권의 확산세가 전국으로 확산되는 예가 있었기 때문이다. 전남도에서는 사회적거리두기를 강화하는 것을 검토하겠다고 한 바있는 것처럼 지자체에서 판단하시도록 할 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
