환경부는 올해 하반기에 즉시 타당성 조사 및 기본 계획 수립 용역에 착수하고 2024년까지 기본 및 실시 설계, 환경영향평가 등 후속 절차를 차질없이 이행한 후 2025년에 사업을 착공한다고 밝혔다.
이에 민주당 대구시당은 “현재 대구시의회에 계류되어있는 취수원 이전에 따른 구미 지원 일시금 100억 원은 내일 시의회가 출범하면 조속한 시일 내에 집행되어야 한다.”고 강조하며 “민주당 또한 취수원 이전에 대해서는 끝까지 책임지고 이행 여부까지 꼼꼼히 챙기겠다.”는 입장을 밝혔다.
아울러 “현 정부가 취수원 이전을 잘 지켜준 것은 높이 평가하고 고맙다.”며 인사를 전했다.
