이번 후원금 전달은 달서구여성단체협의회 회장 이·취임식을 맞아 우리 지역의 인재양성과 이웃사랑을 실천하고자 마련됐다.
이태훈 (재)달서인재육성장학재단 이사장은 달서구여성단체협의회 회장 이·취임식을 맞이하여 소중한 돈을 모아주신 것에 대해 깊은 감사의 뜻을 전하고 “지역사회 기부문화 확산에 감사드리며, 맡겨 주신 장학기금은 우수한 지역 인재 육성을 위해 소중하게 사용하겠다”라고 말했다.
한편, 2009년 설립한 (재)달서인재육성장학재단은 구민들의 적극적인 후원에 힘입어 목표액 100억원을 달성했다.
성적우수·저소득 주민자녀 장학금, 달서으뜸스승상 수여 등 지금까지 900명에게 12억 6천만 원, 교육경쟁력 강화를 위해 25개교에 1억 2천 5백만 원을 지원했다.
