국민의힘 우재준 의원(대구북구갑)이 지난 22일 국회 보건복지위원회 국정감사에서 전국 지방자치단체의 저조한 장애인고용율 실태를 지적했다.
그는 “2023년 기준 전국 243개의 지방자치단체 중 장애인고용율 미달로 부담금을 내는 곳은 122개에 달한다”며 “이는 거의 절반에 해당하는 심각한 수치”라고 꼬집었다.
전남 보성군, 경북 울릉군, 전남 장성군, 인천 강화군, 강원 인제군, 인천 옹진군은 공무원 부문 장애인고용률이 1%대로, 최대 3억 1500만 원의 부담금을 납부하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이에 우재준 의원은 “장애인고용에 적극적으로 나서야 할 지자체가 세금으로 부담금을 내는 것은 문제”라며 “노동 약자인 장애인고용과 관련해 법령 준수와 전반적인 정책 개선이 필요하다”고 강조했다.
