【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구광역시 여성단체협의회(회장 이종선)와 광주광역시 여성단체협의회(회장 이영숙)가 6월 12일 대구에서 ‘달빛동맹 여성단체 교류행사’를 성황리에 개최했다.

양 도시는 2014년부터 매년 교차 방문을 이어오며 협력의 전통을 이어오고 있다. 이날 행사에는 두 도시 여성단체 소속 리더 80여 명이 참석했으며, 광주 측에서는 강기정 광주광역시장의 배우자인 유귀숙 여사가 함께해 행사에 의미를 더했다.

유 여사는 “여성의 역할과 노력이 두 도시 간 우정을 더욱 깊고 단단하게 만든다”며 따뜻한 연대의 메시지를 전했다.

대구광역시를 대표해 참석한 김정기 행정부시장은 축사에서 “달빛동맹은 단순한 상징을 넘어, 양 도시 여성단체의 협력이 민간 교류의 모범 사례로 자리매김하고 있다”며 “지속적인 교류와 연대를 통해 지역 사회의 변화를 이끌어 달라”고 격려했다.

이번 교류행사는 환영식을 시작으로, ‘저출산 극복’을 주제로 한 상징적 퍼포먼스가 이어졌고, 이후에는 체험형 가족 여가 공간인 ‘대구 어린이세상’과 대구미술관, 간송미술관 기획전시 ‘화조미감’ 등을 함께 관람하며 문화적 소통의 시간도 가졌다.

특히 이번 행사는 단순한 만남을 넘어, 저출산 극복 등 지역사회 현안을 함께 고민하고, 여성 정책에 대한 정보와 사례를 공유하는 계기로 활용됐다.

이종선 대구여성단체협의회 회장은 “대구와 광주의 여성단체는 10년 넘게 상호 신뢰와 협력을 바탕으로 연대를 이어왔다”며 “두 도시 간 우호협력의 밑거름으로서, 앞으로도 지속 가능한 교류와 실천에 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 이번 행사에 이어 올 하반기에는 대구 여성단체가 광주를 방문할 계획이다. 두 단체는 이를 통해 도시 간 이해의 폭을 넓히고, 지역 간 상생 발전을 위한 협력의 틀을 더욱 강화할 방침이다.

Daegu and Gwangju Women’s Groups Hold Moonlight Alliance Exchange Event… 10 Years of Friendship Shine

The Daegu Metropolitan City Women’s Group Council (Chairman Lee Jong-seon) and the Gwangju Metropolitan City Women’s Group Council (Chairman Lee Young-sook) successfully held the ‘Moonlight Alliance Women’s Group Exchange Event’ in Daegu on June 12.
