【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자= ‘2025 대구·경북 장애경제인대회’가 22일 대구 그랜드호텔에서 개최됐다.

이번 행사는 대구시와 경상북도가 공동 주최하고 한국장애경제인협회 대구·경북지회가 주관했다. 

장애인기업의 경제적 자립과 산업 경쟁력을 높이고, 지역 산업계와 공공기관의 연대를 강화하는 취지로 마련됐다.

이날 행사에는 이재화 대구시의회 부의장, 이태훈 달서구청장, 박기환 대구시 경제국장, 곽은희 경상북도 경제통상진흥원 기업지원과장 등 주요 인사들이 참석해 장애인기업 성장의 기반을 마련하자는 데 뜻을 모았다. 협회 측에서는 이경선 중앙회장을 비롯해 황귀주 부회장, 고동일 이사, 조만식 감사 등이 함께했다.

식전 행사로 장애인가수 엄덕수 씨의 공연과 난타팀의 축하무대가 펼쳐졌고, 개회선언, 국민의례, 내빈 소개 후 본 행사가 시작됐다.

이경선 대구·경북지회장은 대회사를 통해 “장애는 결코 한계를 의미하지 않는다. 도전하는 장애경제인이 지역의 미래를 열 수 있도록 든든한 디딤돌이 되겠다”고 밝혔다.

박기환 경제국장 역시 “장애인기업이 공정한 경쟁을 펼칠 수 있도록 행정과 경제적 지원을 더욱 강화하겠다”고 말했다. 

이날 행사에서는 장학금 전달식과 함께 우수 장애기업에 대한 시상도 진행됐다. 대구광역시장상은 ㈜성실(대표 박동일), 경상북도지사상은 울릉허브(대표 오주식), 베베르(대표 박재민)가 각각 수상했다. 중소벤처기업부, 지방의회, 국회의원 표창과 협회장상도 함께 수여됐다.

올해 대회에서 가장 집중적으로 논의된 의제는 ‘장애인기업 판로 활성화’였다. 이를 위해 장애인기업 전용 판로 플랫폼 ‘우리몰’이 소개됐다. 

우리몰은 온·오프라인 연계 유통 플랫폼으로, 대구·경북 지역 장애인기업의 안정적 매출 구조 구축을 목표로 한다. 

오프라인 매장은 도시철도 2호선 성서산단역 지하 1층에 위치해 있으며, 입점료는 전액 무료다. 판매대행, 상품 홍보, 배송 지원, 소자본 창업 컨설팅 등 다양한 서비스를 제공한다. 

온라인몰에서는 상품 촬영, 상세페이지 제작, 네이버 광고 지원, 저수수료 판매 시스템 등으로 장애인기업의 실질적 성장을 지원하고 있다.

이번 대회는 장애경제인을 ‘복지 수혜자’가 아닌 지역 경제의 핵심 산업 주체로 자리매김했다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다. 특히 보조금에 국한된 기존 지원에서 벗어나, ‘우리몰’을 중심으로 한 지속 가능한 수익 모델 구축이 장애인기업 경쟁력 강화의 실질적 대안으로 주목받고 있다.

마지막 순서로 참석자 전원이 함께 기념촬영을 한 뒤, 울릉허브 오주식 대표의 재능기부 공연, 장애예술인 엄덕수 씨의 축하무대, 만찬이 이어지며 행사가 마무리됐다.

The "2025 Daegu-Gyeongbuk Disabled Entrepreneurs' Conference" was held on the 22nd at the Daegu Grand Hotel.

They agreed to lay the foundation for the growth of businesses for people with disabilities. The association was also attended by Lee Kyung-sun, President of the National Federation of Associations; Hwang Gwi-ju, Vice Chairman; Ko Dong-il, Director; and Jo Man-sik, Auditor.

The pre-event featured a performance by disabled singer Eom Deok-su and a congratulatory performance by the Nanta team. The main event began with an opening declaration, national anthem, and introductions of distinguished guests.

Daegu-Gyeongbuk Chapter President Lee Kyung-sun stated in his opening remarks, "Disability never means limitations. We will serve as a solid stepping stone to help entrepreneurs with disabilities pioneer the future of our region."

Economic Affairs Director Park Ki-hwan added, "We will further strengthen administrative and financial support to ensure fair competition for businesses run by people with disabilities."

The event also featured a scholarship award ceremony and awards for outstanding businesses run by people with disabilities. The Daegu Metropolitan Mayor's Award went to Seongsil Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Dong-il), while the Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor's Award went to Ulleung Hub (CEO Oh Joo-sik) and Veber (CEO Park Jae-min). Awards from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, local councils, National Assembly members, and the Association President's Award were also presented.

The most focused topic at this year's conference was "Vitalizing Markets for Businesses Run by People with Disabilities." To this end, "Woori Mall," a dedicated sales platform for businesses run by people with disabilities, was introduced.

Woori Mall is a distribution platform that integrates online and offline channels, aiming to establish a stable sales structure for businesses run by people with disabilities in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.

The offline store is located on the first basement level of Seongseo Industrial Complex Station on Subway Line 2, and is completely free of charge. It offers a variety of services, including sales agency services, product promotion, delivery support, and consulting on small-scale startups.

The online store supports the practical growth of businesses run by people with disabilities through product photography, detailed page design, Naver advertising support, and a low-fee sales system.

This event is significant in that it positions disabled entrepreneurs not as "welfare beneficiaries" but as key players in the local economy. In particular, moving beyond the traditional support system of subsidies and building a sustainable revenue model centered around Woori Mall is gaining attention as a practical solution for enhancing the competitiveness of businesses run by people with disabilities.

Finally, all attendees took a commemorative photo, followed by a talent donation performance by Ulleung Hub CEO Oh Ju-sik, a congratulatory performance by disabled artist Eom Deok-su, and a banquet.
