이번 모집 인원은 총 300명으로, 대구시에 주소를 두고 있거나 전입 예정인 만 19세 이상 39세 이하의 무주택 청년이면 신청할 수 있다. 신청자는 본인 연소득 6천만 원 이하(부부 합산 8천만 원 이하)여야 하며, 임차보증금 2억 5천만 원 이하의 주택이나 주거용 오피스텔에 거주해야 한다.

대출 한도는 임차보증금의 90% 이내에서 최대 1억 원까지 가능하다. 대구시는 연 최대 3.5%의 이자를 지원하며, 대상자는 최저 1.5%의 금리만 부담하면 된다. 지원 기간은 기본 2년이며, 요건 충족 시 최대 4년까지 연장할 수 있다.

대구시는 지난해부터 기초생활수급자(주거급여 수급자 제외)와 차상위계층 청년을 우선 선발하고, 소득 수준에 따라 배점을 부여해 고득점 순으로 대상자를 선정하고 있다. 이는 경제적 여건이 상대적으로 어려운 저소득 청년층을 보다 두텁게 지원하기 위한 조치다.

다만 주거급여 수급자와 주택도시기금 전세자금 대출 이용자, 신혼부부 버팀목 전세대출 이자지원 참여자 등 정부나 시의 다른 주거지원 사업 수혜자는 중복 지원을 방지하기 위해 신청이 제한된다.

신청은 1월 22일 오전 9시부터 2월 6일 오후 6시까지 대구시 주거지원 통합 온라인 플랫폼 ‘대구安방’을 통해 가능하다. 최종 선정자는 3월 9일 개별 문자로 안내되며, 선정자는 대구시 추천서를 발급받아 협약은행인 iM뱅크와 농협을 통해 대출을 신청하고 은행 심사를 거쳐 이자 지원을 받게 된다.

특히 올해부터는 추천서 유효기간을 기존 60일에서 120일로 연장해, 청년들이 주택을 물색하고 대출 심사를 진행하는 데 충분한 시간을 가질 수 있도록 제도를 개선했다.

Final selections will be notified individually by text message on March 9th. Selected applicants will receive a Daegu City recommendation letter and apply for loans through partner banks, iM Bank and Nonghyup Bank.
