이에 대구시는 시민 불편을 최소화하고 명절 당일 경증 환자의 의료 접근성과 진료 편의를 높이기 위해 2016년부터 전국 최초로 ‘명절비상진료지원 사업’을 운영해 오고 있다. 이번 설 명절에도 대구시의사회와 관할 보건소를 통해 동네의원의 참여 신청을 받을 예정이다.
민복기 대구광역시의사회장은 “시민의 생명과 건강을 지킨다는 사명감을 바탕으로 명절 기간 의료 공백 최소화를 위해 지속적으로 노력해 왔다”며 “회원들의 자발적인 참여로 이번 설 명절에도 시민들이 안심할 수 있는 의료 환경을 함께 만들어 가길 바란다”고 말했다.
이재홍 대구광역시 보건복지국장은 “매년 연휴 기간에도 비상진료에 참여해 주시는 동네의원 덕분에 시민들이 보다 안심하고 명절을 보낼 수 있었다”며 “이번 설 명절에도 시민을 먼저 생각하는 마음으로 병·의원과 약국의 적극적인 참여를 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 지난해 추석 명절 당일에는 동네의원 27곳이 해당 사업에 참여해 총 1,887명의 환자를 진료한 바 있다.
