【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=계명대학교는 정부의 인공지능(AI) 인재양성 사업에 선정돼 인공지능 전환(AX) 시대에 대응할 실무형 AI 인재 양성에 나선다.

계명대는 교육부와 한국산업기술진흥원이 추진하는 ‘AI 분야 첨단산업 인재양성 부트캠프 사업’에 선정돼 Human-AI 융합형 실무 인재 양성 프로그램을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

 이 사업은 대학과 기업이 협력해 1년 미만의 집중 교육과정을 운영하고 첨단 산업 현장에서 바로 활용 가능한 실무형 인재를 양성하는 것이 핵심이다.

계명대는 정부·지자체·기업 지원금 78억2500만 원과 대학 교비(연 5억 원)를 포함해 향후 5년간 총 103억2500만 원을 투입해 약 750명의 AI 인재를 양성할 계획이다.

대학은 인공지능 기반 산업 대전환 흐름에 대응하기 위해 AI, 바이오메디컬, 로봇, 게임콘텐츠 등 지역 전략 산업과 연계한 ‘Human-AI 부트캠프 프로그램’을 운영한다. Empathic AI(공감형 AI), Agentic AI(에이전틱 AI), Physical AI(피지컬 AI), Human-Centered AI(인간 중심 AI) 등 차세대 핵심 기술을 중심으로 교육과정을 구성해 산업 현장에서 활용 가능한 실전형 인재 양성에 초점을 맞춘다.

교육과정은 산업 수요에 맞춘 단계별 체계로 운영된다. 중급 과정에서는 AI 컴퓨터비전, AI 자연어처리, AI 강화학습, AI 컴퓨터 진단 등 산업 현장에서 활용도가 높은 기술을 교육한다. 고급 과정에서는 Agentic AI, Physical AI, Human-Centered 생성형 AI, 산업 AX 솔루션 개발 등 차세대 기술 분야 중심의 심화 교육이 진행된다.

또한 계명대는 문제 기반 학습(PBL, Problem-Based Learning) 기반 몰입형 교육 프로그램을 도입해 산업 현장에서 발생하는 실제 문제 해결 프로젝트 중심 교육을 운영할 계획이다. 이를 통해 학생들은 AI 마이크로디그리와 복수전공·부전공 형태의 교육과정을 이수할 수 있다.

산학협력 기반 교육도 강화된다. 계명대는 디지털 산업 분야 기업들과 협력해 교육과정 설계부터 현장 프로젝트, 인턴십, 채용까지 연계되는 산학협력 모델을 구축할 방침이다. 이를 통해 학생들이 기술을 산업 현장에 적용할 수 있는 실무 역량을 갖춘 인재로 성장하도록 지원한다.

이와 함께 계명대는 AI 기반 대학 혁신 전략의 일환으로 ‘Agentic AI 대학’ 구축도 추진하고 있다. 교육과 연구, 행정 전반에 AI 에이전트를 도입해 AI 중심 대학 혁신 모델을 구현한다는 구상이다.

이종하 계명대 AI정보처장은 “현재 산업계는 단순한 AI 활용을 넘어 기업과 산업 전반의 AI 전환(AX)이 빠르게 진행되고 있다”며 “이번 부트캠프는 실제 산업 문제를 해결할 수 있는 Agentic AI 기반 실전형 인재 양성에 초점을 맞추고 있다”고 말했다.

신일희 총장은 “디지털 대전환 시대에는 AI와 인간이 협력하는 Human-AI 융합 인재 양성이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “이번 사업을 통해 AI 기반 교육 혁신과 산학협력 생태계를 강화하고 지역 산업의 인공지능 전환을 이끄는 글로벌 AI 혁신 허브로 도약하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 계명대는 생성형 AI 학습환경 구축과 소프트웨어 정의 네트워크(SDN) 인프라 도입 등 AI 기반 교육 환경 확장에도 속도를 내고 있다. 특히 전국 대학 가운데 처음으로 전교생 약 2만 명에게 생성형 AI 서비스 패키지를 무료로 제공하며 AI 실습 중심의 디지털 교육 환경 구축을 추진하고 있다.

Keimyung University plans to invest a total of KRW 10.325 billion over the next five years, including KRW 7.825 billion in government, local government, and corporate subsidies, and KRW 500 million in annual university funding. This will allow the university to develop approximately 750 AI talent.

To respond to the AI-driven industrial transformation, Keimyung University is operating a "Human-AI Bootcamp Program" linked to regional strategic industries such as AI, biomedical engineering, robotics, and game content. The curriculum focuses on next-generation core technologies such as Empathic AI, Agentic AI, Physical AI, and Human-Centered AI, cultivating practical talent applicable in industrial settings.

The curriculum is structured in a step-by-step format tailored to industry needs. The intermediate level covers technologies with high applicability in industrial settings, such as AI computer vision, AI natural language processing, AI reinforcement learning, and AI computer diagnosis. The advanced level offers in-depth training focused on next-generation technologies such as Agentic AI, Physical AI, Human-Centered generative AI, and industrial AX solution development.

Furthermore, Keimyung University plans to introduce an immersive educational program based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL), focusing on project-based learning that addresses real-world problems encountered in industrial settings. This will allow students to complete AI microdegrees and double majors/minors.

Industry-academia collaboration-based education will also be strengthened. Keimyung University plans to collaborate with companies in the digital industry to establish an industry-academia collaboration model that connects curriculum design, field projects, internships, and recruitment. This will support students in developing practical skills capable of applying technology in the workplace.

Furthermore, Keimyung University is also pursuing the establishment of an "Agentic AI University" as part of its AI-based university innovation strategy. The plan is to implement an AI-centric university innovation model by introducing AI agents across education, research, and administration.

Meanwhile, Keimyung University is accelerating the expansion of its AI-based educational environment, including the establishment of a generative AI learning environment and the introduction of a software-defined network (SDN) infrastructure. Specifically, Keimyung University is the first university in Korea to offer a free generative AI service package to approximately 20,000 students and is promoting the establishment of a digital educational environment centered on AI practice.
