계명대 대학일자리플러스센터는 4월 2일 성서캠퍼스 바우어신관 인터내셔널라운지에서 ‘2026학년도 고용노동부 일자리 첫걸음 보장센터 사업 및 청년층 고용서비스 지원 공유회’를 개최했다.

이번 행사는 고용노동부와 한국고용정보원이 주최하고 계명대가 주관했으며, 2026학년도 신규 사업으로 도입된 ‘일자리 첫걸음 보장센터’의 본격 운영을 앞두고 정책 실효성을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 공유회에는 고용노동부와 한국고용정보원 관계자를 비롯해 사업 운영 대학으로 선정된 전국 10개 대학 실무자, 대구지역 청년센터 관계자 등 60여 명이 참석해 청년 고용 지원 방안을 논의했다. 특히 사전 실시한 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 지역 청년들의 취업 수요를 분석하고, 맞춤형 지원 프로그램 개발과 대학 간 협력 모델 구축 방안이 집중적으로 다뤄졌다.

설문조사는 지난 3월 16일부터 20일까지 대구·경북 지역 대학생 및 청년 1,185명을 대상으로 진행됐다. 그 결과 응답자의 69.4%가 구직활동 중이거나 즉시 취업 가능한 상태로 나타났으며, 23.7%는 직무 탐색 단계, 6.9%는 심리적 피로로 구직을 일시 중단한 상태로 조사됐다.

청년들이 가장 필요로 하는 지원으로는 생활비 및 구직활동 지원(46.8%)이 가장 높게 나타나 경제적 부담이 주요 장애 요인으로 분석됐다. 이어 직업훈련(38.0%), 취업알선 및 채용정보 제공(33.6%) 순으로 조사됐다.

또한 선호 프로그램으로는 직무 체험(40.0%)이 가장 높은 비중을 차지했으며, 1대1 맞춤형 상담(28.6%), 온라인 상담(16.0%) 등이 뒤를 이었다. 이는 실무 경험과 개인 맞춤형 지원에 대한 청년층의 요구가 높다는 점을 보여준다.

조선희 대구서부고용센터 소장은 “미취업 청년을 집중 지원하기 위해 신규 사업을 추진하는 만큼, 이번 공유회가 청년 고용정책 방향을 제시하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “청년들이 노동시장에 안정적으로 진입할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

최해운 계명대 대학일자리플러스센터장은 “정부와 대학이 협력해 청년들의 사회 진입을 체계적으로 지원하는 중요한 출발점”이라며 “선정 대학들과 긴밀히 협력해 실효성 있는 고용 서비스를 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Keimyung University (President Shin Il-hee) explored cooperation strategies with universities nationwide to ensure the successful establishment of the ‘Job First Step Guarantee Center’ project, a key government youth employment policy.

On April 2, the Keimyung University University Job Plus Center held the ‘2026 Academic Year Ministry of Employment and Labor Job First Step Guarantee Center Project and Youth Employment Service Support Sharing Session’ at the International Lounge in the Bauer New Building on the Seongseo Campus.

This event was hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Employment Information Service (KEIS) and organized by Keimyung University. It was prepared to enhance policy effectiveness ahead of the full-scale operation of the ‘Job First Step Guarantee Center,’ a new project introduced for the 2026 academic year.

Approximately 60 people attended the sharing session, including officials from the Ministry of Employment and Labor and KEIS, working-level staff from the 10 universities selected to operate the project, and representatives from youth centers in the Daegu region, to discuss measures to support youth employment. In particular, based on the results of a preliminary survey, the analysis focused on the employment needs of local youth, as well as strategies for developing customized support programs and establishing cooperation models between universities.

The survey was conducted from March 16 to 20, targeting 1,185 university students and young adults in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions. The results showed that 69.4% of respondents were actively seeking employment or were immediately available, while 23.7% were in the job exploration stage, and 6.9% had temporarily suspended their job search due to psychological fatigue.

Regarding the support most needed by young adults, living expenses and job search support (46.8%) ranked highest, indicating that economic burden is a major obstacle. This was followed by vocational training (38.0%) and job placement and recruitment information (33.6%).

Additionally, regarding preferred programs, job experience (40.0%) accounted for the highest proportion, followed by one-on-one customized counseling (28.6%) and online counseling (16.0%). This demonstrates the high demand among young people for practical experience and personalized support.

Cho Seon-hee, Director of the Daegu Western Employment Center, stated, "As we are launching new initiatives to provide focused support for unemployed youth, this sharing session will serve as an opportunity to present the direction of youth employment policies," adding, "We will actively support young people so that they can stably enter the labor market."

Choi Hae-woon, Director of the Keimyung University Job Plus Center, said, "This is an important starting point for the government and universities to cooperate in systematically supporting the entry of young people into society," and added, "We will work closely with the selected universities to create effective employment services."
