이인선 국민의힘 중앙선대위 지역네트워크강화단장이 대구 중‧남구 국회의원 보궐선거 출마를 선언하며 “위기에 빠진 대한민국의 희망이 되겠다”는 메시지를 전했다.

16일 이인선 단장은 필승을 다짐하며 곽상도 의원의 사퇴로 자리가 비어있는 대구 중남구 지역에 국회의원 예비후보 등록을 마쳤다.

그는 예비후보 등록을 마치고 나오면서 “윤석열 국민의 힘 대선후보와 함께 국민이 행복할 수 있는 나라, 공정과 상식이 통하는 나라, 국민 개개인이 잘살 수 있는 대한민국의 미래비전을 만들어가겠다”며 포부를 밝혔다.

또 이 예비후보는 “중‧남구는 제가 자라고 중·고·대학을 다닌 지역으로 지금도 지역에서 교수로 재직하고 있고, 시댁도 3대째 이 지역에서 살고 있다.”며 중‧남구 지역과의 인연을 강조했다.

그러면서 “코로나19가 장기화로 큰 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역경제에 보탬이 되기 위해서는 경제와 예산 전문가이면서 소외계층의 아픔을 보듬고 위로 할 수 있는 섬세한 소통 능력이 필요하다”고 강조하며 “지역 사정을 잘 알고, 중앙과도 연결할 수 있는 사람이 중구·남구의 적임자”라고 설명했다.

이어 “저는 20여년 동안 대구경북 과학기술원장, 경북 경제부지사, 대구경북 경제자유구역청장을 거치면서 다양한 경험과 역량을 쌓아왔다”고 전하며 “저의 모든 경험과 역량을 이제는 중‧남구와 대한민국을 위해 바치려고 한다.”고 덧붙였다.

한편 중남구에는 더불어민주당 최창희, 국민의힘 임병헌, 배영식, 도태우 등이 출마선언과 함께 예비후보 등록을 마친 상태이다.
