【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구상수도사업본부는 일부 언론에서 달성군 일대 공동주택에서 수돗물 필터에 녹조의심 물질이 발생했다고 보도됨에 따라 가정집 수돗물 녹조 의심사례 전수조사를 실시한다고 11일 밝혔다.

의심사례로 처음 보도된 달성군 현풍읍 소재 A아파트 가정집의 경우, 해당 가정집의 주소를 제공받지 못해 동일 아파트 내 3곳을 임의 선정해 지난 9월 24일 수질연구소에서 자체검사 한 결과 조류독소는 불검출됐다. 

의심사례로 보도된 가정집의 공통점은 모두 수도꼭지 필터를 사용하는 가정으로 확인됐다. 

이러한 현상은 수돗물 필터에 의한 영향으로 발생했을 가능성이 높다고 판단되므로 앞으로 신고 건에 대해서는 필터 통과 전후의 수질을 각각 분석해 살펴볼 계획이다.

또, 자체 조사에서 심층적인 분석이 필요하다고 판단되는 경우에는 환경부 국립환경과학원 등 외부 전문기관에 의뢰하여 좀 더 정밀하게 분석을 실시할 예정이다.

전수조사 대상은 가정에 설치된 필터가 녹색으로 변색된 경우 등 수돗물 품질에 의심이 되는 경우이며 신고 방법은 국번 없이 120 또는 수질연구소로 연락하면 된다.

수질연구소는 전문검사요원이 직접 가정을 방문해 시료채수, 필터 수거 후 전자현미경 관찰로 녹조류 확인 및 조류독소를 정밀하게 조사 후 결과를 개별 통보한다.

김정섭 대구시 상수도사업본부장은 “각 가정에서는 조금이라도 의심스러운 사례가 있으면 바로 신고를 해 주시길 바란다”며 “신고된 건은 수질연구소의 검사역량을 최대한 동원해서 빠른 시일 내 원인 규명이 될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
