중구는 어린이급식관리지원센터 위탁운영 기간이 올해 12월 말에 종료됨에 따라 지난 9월 사무위탁 관리위원회 심의를 거쳐 대구가톨릭대학교 산학협력단과 재계약을 체결하기로 결정했다.
이번 협약에 따라 대구가톨릭대학교 산학협력단은 오는 1월 1일부터 2025년 12월 31일까지 3년간 중구 어린이급식관리지원센터를 지속 운영할 예정이며, 어린이 급식시설의 위생･안전 및 영양관리 순회방문지도, 급식소 컨설팅, 연령별 어린이 급식용 식단 및 레시피 개발･보급, 대상별(어린이, 원장, 조리원, 부모 등) 맞춤형 교육 프로그램 등을 실시한다.
류규하 중구청장은 “그동안 중구 어린이급식관리지원센터를 운영･관리하던 대구가톨릭대학교 산학협력단과 재계약함으로써 어린이 급식시설에 대한 체계적이고 효율적인 관리와 지원이 이루어져 안전한 급식 환경 조성과 질적 향상에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
