【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=제19회 서구서화작가회전이 오는 9일부터 18일까지 10일간 서구문화회관 전시실에서 열린다.
올해 제19회를 맞는 서구서화작가회전은 은은한 묵향이 가득한 전통예술의 아름다움을 느낄 수 있는 다양한 작품들을 감상할 수 있으며, 지역 작가들의 위상을 높이고 지역 미술 문화의 향유를 위한 알찬 기회를 제공한다.
이번 전시회는 서구에서 활동하는 명망 있는 서화작가들이 참여하여 1년간 공을 들인 우수한 예술작품 32점을 감상할 수 있는 자리로 출품작들은 불언지교, 송수천년, 풍요, 수산복해, 함로 등 은은한 아름다움을 보여주는 서예, 문인화, 서각, 초상화 등의 작품들이다.
성준모 서화작가회장을 비롯하여 김승향, 김영란, 김영애, 김영자, 남상진, 박재술, 백금명, 송현수, 왕교환, 이창수, 조성구, 조정자, 조춘희, 최귀옥, 홍을식의 16명의 작가가 참여하였으며, 지역에서 꾸준하게 작품활동 중인 작가들로 작품 한점 한점에서 깊은 연륜이 묻어난다.
성준모 서구서화작가회장은 “다양한 양식의 서화작품을 통해 창작의 의미를 느끼고 정서를 순화하여 자기 성찰의 기회가 되기를 희망하며, 앞으로도 구민들의 삶 속에 문화가 깃들여 행복한 서구 구민의 삶을 위한 신명나는 작품을 선보일 수 있기를 바란다.”고 밝혔다.

16 artists participated, including Seong Jun-mo, president of the Calligraphy & Painting Writers Association, Kim Seung-hyang, Kim Young-ran, Kim Young-ae, Kim Young-ja, Nam Sang-jin, Park Jae-sul, Baek Geum-myeong, Song Hyeon-soo, Wang Gwan-swan, Lee Chang-soo, Cho Seong-gu, Cho Jung-ja, Cho Chun-hee, Choi Gwi-ok, and Hong Eul-shik. They are artists who are active in their work, and their deep years of experience are evident in each piece of their work.
Seong Joon-mo, head of the Western Calligraphy and Painting Writers’ Association, said, “I hope that various forms of calligraphy and calligraphy work will provide an opportunity for self-reflection by feeling the meaning of creation and purifying emotions. I hope to be able to showcase it.”
