【브레이크뉴스 대구 】이성현 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 27일 올해 중.고등학교에 입학하는 신입생 약 4만 2천여 명에게 교복을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

2021학년도까지는 중학교 신입생 대상이었으나 지난해부터 고등학교 신입생까지 지원을 확대했다. 올해 투입되는 예산은 127억 원으로, 지원대상자는 대구 소재 국ㆍ공ㆍ사립 중ㆍ고등학교 신입생과 타시ㆍ도 및 국외에서 전입하는 1학년 학생이다. 

대상자에게는 1인당 30만 원 한도로 동ㆍ하복 1벌씩 현물 지원하고, 교복 금액이 30만 원 미만일 경우 잔여금액 한도 내에서 체육복, 생활복, 교복 여벌 등 추가 품목을 지원한다.

이를 위해, 각급 학교에서는 학교주관 구매제도를 통해 교복 구매를 추진한다. 학교주관 구매제도는 교복 가격 안정화, 교복품질 확보, 계약의 투명성 등을 위해 학교가 공개경쟁 방법으로 업체를 선정, 교복을 일괄 구매하는 제도를 말한다.  대구시교육청에서는 2015학년도부터 운영하고 있다.

 대구시교육청은 올해도 학교주관구매제도를 통해 중ㆍ고교 신입생 교복을 지원함으로써, 교육복지 정책의 내실화 및 교복 가격 안정화로 학부모의 경제적 부담을 줄이는데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 ㅇ;ㅆ다.

강은희 교육감은 “우리 학생들이 경제적 어려움 없이 학업에 매진할 수 있도록 다양한 복지 정책을 지속적으로 추진하여 기회는 더 넓고, 부담은 더 가볍게 하도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
