이번 프로그램은 수능을 마친 대구상원고 등 6개 학교 학생들에게 전통 성년례와 현대 예절 교육을 접할 기회를 제공한다. 예비 사회인으로서 책임감과 인성을 키울 수 있도록 졸업 전 공백기를 활용하려는 취지다.
학생들은 공통 체험 활동에서 전통 복식을 입고, 성년례의 의식을 직접 경험한다. 선택 체험은 좌우명 만들기, 승경도 놀이, 차 명상, 인사·언어·면접 예절 등 총 4개 프로그램 중 하나를 고를 수 있다.
‘좌우명 갖기’는 자신의 신념을 담은 문구를 만드는 시간이다. ‘승경도 놀이는 조선시대 양반 자제들이 과거 시험을 체험하며 즐기던 전통 보드게임이다. ‘차 명상’은 차를 마시며 명상을 하는 프로그램, ‘인사·언어·면접 예절’은 성인으로서 필요한 기본 에티켓 교육을 제공한다.
강은희 대구시교육감은 “수능 이후 시간을 의미 있게 보내는 성년례 체험이 학생들에게 뜻깊은 경험이 될 것으로 기대한다”며, “앞으로도 중3·고3 시기에 바른 인성을 기를 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 꾸준히 개발해 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Metropolitan Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee said, “I expect that the coming-of-age ceremony experience, which allows students to spend their time meaningfully after the CSAT, will be a meaningful experience for the students,” and added, “We will continue to develop and support various programs that can help students develop good character during their third year of middle school and third year of high school.”
