의회 심의 과정에서 예산 일부 조정도 이뤄졌다. 특별실 환경개선과 비품 구입 예산은 55억 원이 깎였고, 반대로 학교숲 조성·관리, 학교체육시설 개선, 영재학교 운영비 등에는 32억 원이 추가로 반영됐다.

시교육청은 이번 예산을 ▲실천 중심의 인성교육 ▲학습 역량 향상 지원 ▲나눔과 채움의 교육복지 ▲미래형 교육환경 조성 ▲함께하는 교육공동체 운영 등 다섯 가지 핵심 방향에 맞춰 편성했다.

인성교육에는 602억 원을 투입한다. 마음교육과 공동체 기반 인성교육을 강화하고, 1교과 1책읽기와 1학생 1예술활동, 그리고 생활·체험 중심 교육 확대를 통해 학생들의 내면 역량을 키운다는 계획이다. 또 지속가능한 미래와 세계시민 의식 함양도 주요 과제로 삼았다.

학습 역량 향상 지원에는 1천490억 원을 책정했다. 1수업 2교사제와 학습지원튜터 운영을 이어가고, 초등 저학년 튜터 지원을 확대해 학생들의 기초·기본학력 보장을 강화한다. AI 교육자료 활용 수업과 IB 프로그램, 미래학교 운영으로 수업 혁신에 나서며, 서논구술형 평가 플랫폼 구축을 통해 교원의 수업·평가 역량도 높인다는 방침이다.

교육복지에는 6천164억 원이 들어간다. 무상급식과 신입생 무상교복, 취약계층 교육비 지원, 다문화가정 학생을 위한 한국어교육센터·거점학교 운영 등에 3천562억 원이 배정됐다. 초등 늘봄학교 확대와 유아학비·보육료 추가 지원, 유보통합 시범운영, 특수학급 증설과 치료비 지원 등 유아·특수교육 강화에는 2천602억 원이 편성됐다.

학교 안전과 교육환경 개선 부문엔 4천725억 원이 반영됐다. 노후 급식시설 개선과 건강검사비 지원, 생활체육 활성화, 학교폭력 예방 및 회복교육 등에 1천415억 원이 쓰인다. 미래형 학교공간 조성과 스마트기기 보급, 무선랜 교체 등 디지털 학습환경 구축에는 3천310억 원이 투입된다.

교육공동체 운영에는 505억 원을 편성했다. 가족공동체 형성 교육과 지역 교육거버넌스 활성화를 추진하며, 옛 죽전중 부지에 대구학부모교육센터를 조성해 학부모 교육과 소통도 강화한다. 이 밖에 행정정보시스템 안정화와 학교지원센터 운영도 포함됐다.

대구시교육청 관계자는 “재정이 어려운 상황이지만, 전략적으로 재원을 배분해 기초·기본학력 지원, 늘봄학교, 고교학점제, 특수교육, AI 활용 교육 등 학생 맞춤형 미래역량교육 추진에 차질이 없도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.

강은희 대구시교육감은 “시의회에서 의결된 예산을 투명하고 효율적으로 집행해 아이들이 잠재력을 키우고, 대구를 넘어 세계로 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

The plan is to innovate instruction through the use of AI-based teaching materials, the IB program, and the operation of "Future Schools." A total of 616.4 billion won will be allocated to education and welfare. 356.2 billion won will be allocated to free school meals and uniforms for new students, educational support for vulnerable groups, and the operation of Korean language education centers and key schools for students from multicultural families. 260.2 billion won will be allocated to strengthening early childhood and special education, including expanding elementary school Neulbom schools, providing additional support for early childhood tuition and childcare fees, piloting integrated preschool programs, expanding special education classes, and providing medical treatment support.
