대구 중부경찰서는 27일 공무집행방해와 폭행 혐의로 대구시교육청 간부 A씨(50대)를 불구속 입건해 조사 중이라고 밝혔다.
A씨는 지난 7일 오후 10시쯤 대구 중구 남산동 버스정류장에서 술에 취해 소동을 벌이다가, 신고를 받고 출동한 경찰관의 뺨을 때리고 또 다른 경찰관의 팔을 깨무는 등 폭행을 저지른 것으로 조사됐다. 경찰은 현장에서 A씨를 현행범으로 체포했다.
A씨는 경찰서 이동 이후에도 담당 경찰관을 발로 차는 등 난동을 계속 부린 것으로 드러났다. 그는 "만취해 당시 상황이 기억나지 않는다"는 입장을 경찰에 밝힌 것으로 전해졌다.
경찰은 정확한 사건 경위를 조사한 뒤 A씨를 검찰에 송치할 방침이다.
대구시교육청은 경찰로부터 수사 개시 통보를 받는 대로 A씨를 상대로 자체 조사를 진행할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
