10일 대구 동구의회 제339회 임시회 제1차 본회의가 개최됐다.

이날 5분 자유발언에 나선 김은옥 의원은 “2009년 조성된 신서근린공원 물놀이장은 시설 보수와 보강이 필요한 상황”이라며 “편의성이나 안전성이 상대적으로 떨어진다”고 설명했다.

또한 그는 “현재 동구의 어린이들이 집 가까이 찾을 수 있는 공원 물놀이장이 부족하다”며 “여름철 물놀이장을 확충해야 한다”고 말했다

현재 대구시 19개 공공 물놀이장 가운데 북구 7개소, 달서구 4개소, 수성구 3개소로 동구는 2개소(신암물놀이장, 신서물놀이장)의 공원 물놀이장을 운영하고 있다.

김은옥 의원은 “물놀이장은 여름철 주민의 일상에 필수적인 생활밀착형 인프라”라며 “물놀이장 시설 개선과 공간 확충을 위한 예산 반영에 힘 써달라”고 덧붙였다.
