【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구의회가 최근 예산결산위원회 회의 도중 발생한 비방성 발언을 둘러싸고 논란의 도마에 올랐다.

24일 안평훈 의원은 성명서를 통해 국민의힘 김상호 의원이 예산결산위원회 회의 중 국민권익위원회의 이념성향을 말하는 과정에서 비속어를 포함한 비방성 발언을 했다고 주장했다.

정회로  안 구의원이 잠시 자리를 비운 사이 김 의원이 "상임위원장석에서 “권익위원회에 민주당 성향을 가진 놈들이 많다 아니가? 씨XXX” 라고 국가기관과 특정 정당을 모욕했다는 증언이 있었다는 것.

이로 인해 안평훈 의원은 제346회 임시회 제2차 본회의에서 신상 발언을 할 예정이었으나, 분위기가 격앙되자 발언을 철회한 것으로 확인된다.

안 의원은 "이 발언이 단순 해프닝이 아니라 반복적이고 상습적인 막말"이라며 "상임위 회의 때마다 특정 정당과 당 대표를 범죄자 운운하며 폄훼하는 발언이 이어졌고 일부 의원들이 이를 방조·증폭했다"고 비판했다. 

또한 해외 연수 중 젊은 동료 의원에게 “니 인생이 부실하다”고 발언한 사례까지 언급하며, 의회 윤리의 최저선조차 무너졌다고 강조했다.

안 의원은 이번 사태와 관련해 ▲김상호 의원의 공개 사과 및 직위 사퇴 ▲동구의회의 윤리특위 회부와 재발방지 대책 시행 ▲국민의힘 대구시당의 엄정한 징계 및 조직적 재발방지 ▲동구청장과 의장의 책임 확인 및 필요 시 자진 사퇴 등 조치를 요구했다.

안 의원은 “의회 품격 회복과 동구 행정 정상화를 위해 주민 신뢰 위에 서지 못하는 권력은 존재 근거를 잃는다”며 “오늘의 결단이 동구의 내일을 바꿀 것”이라고 강조했다. 이번 사태는 의회 윤리와 민주적 통치의 근간을 흔드는 문제로, 정치적 책임과 제도적 대응이 시급한 상황이다.

Councilman Ahn emphasized, "Any authority that fails to build trust with the residents to restore the dignity of the National Assembly and normalize the administration of Dong-gu will lose its justification for existence.
