이번 조례는 고령친화도시 조성을 위한 목적과 기본 이념을 비롯해 시행계획 수립, 관련 사업과 지원, 유관기관 협력체계 구축 등의 내용을 담고 있다.
김 의원은 “이번 조례 제정이 노인복지 향상은 물론, 지속 가능한 지역사회를 만드는 데 기여하길 바란다”며 “지역의 모든 세대가 함께 잘 사는 동구를 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이 조례는 동구의 고령친화도시 구현에 필요한 행정적·제도적 토대를 마련했다는 점에서 의의가 크다는 평가다.
