【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환) 국제교류교육센터는 21일 오전 9시, 한국어과정 중급반 외국인 유학생 60여 명을 대상으로 교내에서 하반기 학과설명회 및 진로체험 프로그램을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 한국어교육과정 졸업을 앞둔 유학생들이 선린대학교의 다양한 전공을 탐색하고, 개인의 흥미와 적성에 맞춰 진로를 설계할 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

진로체험 과정에서는 뷰티디자인과가 핸드크림 제작과 핸드 마사지 실습을 진행해 직무 체험 기회를 제공했으며, 호텔조리제빵바리스타과는 제빵·한식 조리 체험과 바리스타 실습을 통해 전공 수업의 핵심 내용을 직접 경험할 수 있도록 했다.

체험에 참여한 당 티 캄 투(DANG THI CAM TU) 학생은 “학부 과정에서 배우는 내용을 직접 체험해 보니 대학에 입학한 기분이 들었다”며 “내년에 전공을 선택하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것 같다”고 소감을 전했다.

박정훈 국제교류교육센터장은 “학생들이 적극적으로 참여하는 모습을 보며 매우 기쁘고 고무적이었다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 체험 프로그램을 확대해 유학생들이 전공 선택 과정에서 어려움을 겪지 않도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 선린대학교 국제교류교육센터는 한국어교육과정 운영뿐 아니라 문화 체험, 진로 상담, 취업 지원 등 외국인 유학생을 위한 맞춤형 비교과 프로그램을 지속적으로 개발·운영하고 있다.

Sunlin University Holds Department Information Session and Career Exploration Program for International Students

Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) announced that it held a department information session and career exploration program on campus at 9:00 AM on the 21st for approximately 60 international students in the intermediate Korean language program.

This program was designed to help international students graduating from the Korean language program explore the diverse majors offered by Sunlin University and design career paths tailored to their individual interests and aptitudes.

During the career exploration program, the Beauty Design Department provided hands-on experience through hand cream making and hand massage. The Hotel Culinary Arts and Barista Department provided hands-on experience in baking and Korean cuisine cooking, as well as barista training, allowing students to experience the core content of their majors firsthand.

Dang Thi Cam Tu, a student who participated in the experience, commented, "Experiencing firsthand what I learned in my undergraduate studies made me feel like I was in college. I think this will be very helpful in choosing my major next year."

Park Jeong-hoon, Director of the International Exchange Education Center, said, "It was very gratifying and encouraging to see the students actively participating. We will continue to expand our diverse experiential programs to ensure international students face challenges when choosing their majors."

Meanwhile, Sunlin University's International Exchange Education Center continues to develop and operate customized extracurricular programs for international students, including cultural experiences, career counseling, and job placement assistance, in addition to operating Korean language courses.
