【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환)는 5일 오전 11시 인산관 5층 채플실에서 제55회 학위수여식을 개최했다.
이날 학위수여식에는 문준수 학교법인 인산교육재단 이사장과 공원식 상임이사, 김일만 포항시의회 의장, 이칠구 경상북도의회 의원, 홍성미 선린대학교 동창회장을 비롯한 내·외빈과 학교 관계자, 졸업생, 학부모 등 1,000여 명이 참석해 졸업생들의 새로운 출발을 축하하고 격려했다.
이번 학위수여식에서는 간호학과를 포함한 총 20개 학과(전공심화과정 포함)에서 4년제 학사 224명, 2~3년제 전문학사 359명, 학사학위 전공심화과정 81명 등 총 664명의 졸업생이 학위를 받았다. 이로써 선린대학교는 1969년 개교 이후 약 3만 2,660여 명의 졸업생을 배출하게 됐다.
곽진환 총장은 축사를 통해 “선린을 졸업하는 여러분은 이미 충분히 준비된 인재”라며 “자부심을 가지고 사회로 나아가 선한 영향력으로 세상을 변화시켜 주길 바란다”고 말했다. 이어 “선린대학교는 앞으로도 졸업생들의 든든한 후원자이자 버팀목으로서 여러분의 앞날을 응원하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

Sunlin University Holds 55th Commencement Ceremony, Promotes 664 Graduates
Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) held its 55th Commencement Ceremony on the 5th floor of Insan Hall at 11:00 AM on the 5th.
The ceremony was attended by approximately 1,000 guests, including Insan Education Foundation Chairman Moon Jun-soo, Executive Director Park Won-sik, Pohang City Council Chairman Kim Il-man, Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council Member Lee Chil-gu, and Sunlin University Alumni Association President Hong Seong-mi. At this ceremony, a total of 664 graduates received degrees from 20 departments (including the Department of Nursing) including 224 four-year bachelor's degrees, 359 two- to three-year associate's degrees, and 81 bachelor's degree programs. With this, Sunlin University has produced approximately 32,660 graduates since its founding in 1969.
In his congratulatory address, President Kwak Jin-hwan stated, "You who are graduating from Sunlin are already well-prepared talents. He added, "Sunlin University will continue to be a strong supporter and pillar of support for our graduates, cheering on your future endeavors."
