【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환)는 지난 6일  교내 믿음관 3층 간호실습 트레이닝센터에서 포항지역 고등학생을 대상으로 ‘1-Day 진로체험캠프’를 개최했다.

이번 프로그램은 ‘포항시 교육발전특구 시범 지역 지정’에 따른 대학 협력 사업으로 마련됐다. 캠프에는 수시 합격생과 온라인 모집을 통해 선발된 포항지역 고등학생 27명이 참여했다.

참가 학생들은 교수진의 설명과 간호학과 재학생들의 지원을 받으며 수술복 착용, 기본 간호 시뮬레이션 등 실무형 프로그램을 직접 경험했다. 이를 통해 자신의 적성과 진로 방향을 탐색하는 시간을 가졌다.

곽진환 총장은 “포항시와 협력해 대학의 교육 자원을 지역 학생들과 공유할 수 있어 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 연계한 재능 나눔 활동을 적극 확대하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한 참가 학생은 “수술복을 입는 순간 실제 간호사가 된 듯한 느낌이었다”며 “직접 체험해 보니 진로 선택에 큰 도움이 된 특별한 시간이었다”고 소감을 전했다.

선린대학교는 매년 다양한 직업체험 프로그램을 운영하며 지역 학생과 시민들에게 전문 교육 자원을 지속적으로 제공하고 있다.

Sunlin University and Pohang City Host '1-Day Career Experience Camp' for High School Students

Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) hosted a '1-Day Career Experience Camp' for high school students in the Pohang area on the 6th at the Nursing Practice Training Center on the 3rd floor of the campus's Faith Building.

This program was organized as a university collaboration project in accordance with the 'Pohang City Education Development Special Zone Pilot Area Designation.' Twenty-seven high school students from the Pohang area, selected through rolling admissions and online recruitment, participated in the camp.

The participants received guidance from faculty and support from current nursing students, and experienced practical programs such as wearing scrubs and basic nursing simulations. This provided them with opportunities to explore their aptitudes and career paths.

President Kwak Jin-hwan stated, "I am pleased to collaborate with Pohang City to share the university's educational resources with local students. We will continue to actively expand talent sharing activities in partnership with the local community."

One participating student said, "The moment I put on the scrubs, I felt like a real nurse. It was a special experience that greatly helped me decide on my career path."
