【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환) RISE사업단은 교육부와 경상북도가 지원하는 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업의 일환으로 지난 15일 오후 2시 교내 믿음관 2층 세미나실에서 ‘2025학년도 RISE사업단 RISE Crew 1기 발대식 및 오리엔테이션’을 개최했다.

이번 행사는 학생 참여 기반의 RISE Crew 운영을 통해 교내 RISE사업을 활성화하고, 사업 성과를 대학과 지역사회 전반으로 체계적으로 확산하기 위해 마련됐다. 선린대학교는 RISE Crew를 중심으로 학생 참여형 성과 확산 체계를 구축해 RISE사업의 내실화와 지속가능성 확보에 속도를 낼 계획이다.

이날 발대식에서는 서류심사를 통해 선발된 총 10명의 RISE Crew 학생을 대상으로 RISE사업 전반에 대한 설명과 함께 임명장 수여, 대표 선서 등이 진행됐다. 선발된 학생들은 향후 RISE 프로그램 취재 및 홍보, 콘텐츠 제작, 참여자 의견 수렴 등 다양한 활동을 수행하며 선린대학교 RISE사업 고도화에 핵심적인 역할을 맡게 된다.

RISE Crew로 선발된 공예은 학생(간호학부 3학년)은 “RISE사업을 통해 지역인재 양성과 지역 정주의 중요성을 다시 한번 느끼게 됐다”며 “선린대학교 RISE사업의 성공을 위해 책임감을 가지고 적극적으로 활동하겠다”고 말했다.

 김민석 학생(간호학부 1학년)도 “RISE Crew 활동을 통해 지역사회 현안과 대학의 혁신적인 프로그램을 교내외에 효과적으로 알릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한정안 RISE사업단장은 “RISE Crew 활동은 학생들의 창의적인 아이디어와 현장의 목소리를 사업에 반영하는 중요한 창구”라며 “앞으로도 학생들과의 긴밀한 소통을 통해 RISE사업 성과가 대학과 지역사회로 지속적으로 환류될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 강조했다.

한편, 선린대학교 RISE사업단은 지역사회, 산업체, 연구기관 등과의 지·산·학·연 협업체계 구축을 통해 협력적 거버넌스를 강화하고 지역 발전에 기여하고 있다. 이번 RISE Crew 1기 발대식은 향후 2기 운영을 위한 기반을 다지는 출발점으로, 학생 참여형 RISE사업 확산과 지속 가능한 운영체계 구축의 중요한 계기로 평가되고 있다.

Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) RISE Project Group held the "2025 RISE Project Group RISE Crew 1st Inauguration Ceremony and Orientation" on the 15th at 2:00 PM in the seminar room on the second floor of the Faith Building on campus as part of the Regional Innovation-Oriented University Support System (RISE) project, supported by the Ministry of Education and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.

This event was designed to revitalize the on-campus RISE project through student-participatory RISE Crew operations and systematically disseminate project results across the university and the local community. Sunlin University plans to establish a student-participatory results dissemination system centered around the RISE Crew, accelerating the strengthening and sustainability of the RISE project.

At the inauguration ceremony, ten RISE Crew students, selected through a document screening process, were given an overview of the RISE program, presented with certificates of appointment, and took the oath of office as representatives. The selected students will play a key role in advancing the Sunlin University RISE program, engaging in various activities such as reporting and promoting the program, creating content, and gathering feedback from participants.

Gong Ye-eun (junior, Department of Nursing), a student selected as a member of the RISE Crew, said, "Through the RISE program, I have once again realized the importance of fostering local talent and settling in the region. I will actively participate with a sense of responsibility to ensure the success of Sunlin University's RISE program."

Kim Min-seok (freshman, Department of Nursing) also stated, "Through my RISE Crew activities, I will do my best to effectively promote local community issues and the university's innovative programs both on and off campus."

Han Jeong-an, Director of the RISE Project, emphasized, "RISE Crew activities are a crucial channel for incorporating students' creative ideas and voices from the field into our projects. We will continue to work closely with students to ensure that the RISE project's outcomes continue to flow back to the university and the local community."

Meanwhile, the Sunlin University RISE Project is strengthening collaborative governance and contributing to regional development by establishing a collaborative system with local communities, industry, and research institutions. This inauguration ceremony for the first RISE Crew serves as a starting point for the second phase of the project, and is considered a crucial step toward expanding student-participatory RISE projects and establishing a sustainable operational system.
