【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환) 산학협력단 창업교육센터는 지난 9일  포항 라메르웨딩에서 ‘2025년 포항시 청년예비창업가육성사업’ 창업자의 밤 및 수료식을 개최했다.

 이날 행사에는 선린대 창업교육센터 참여 창업자 13명과 포항시청년창업LAB 참여자 12명을 비롯해 권오성 포항시 일자리청년과장 등 관계자들이 참석했다.

‘포항시 청년예비창업가육성사업’은 만 39세 이하 포항 거주 청년 예비창업가를 발굴·육성해 창업 기초부터 사업화까지 지원하는 지역 주도형 창업 지원 프로그램이다. 올해 사업은 6월부터 12월까지 7개월간 진행됐으며, 참여자 13명 전원이 사업자 등록을 완료하는 성과를 냈다. 또한 총 8건의 지식재산권(IP)도 창출했다.

김병용 선린대 산학협력단장은 “창업을 선택한 청년 창업자들의 용기와 노력을 높이 평가한다”며 “앞으로도 창업의 첫걸음을 내딛는 청년들이 지속적으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 확대하겠다”고 말했다.

수료식에서 우수창업자로 선정된 ‘더노멀’ 박성은 대표는 “창업 초기 두려움이 컸지만, 선린대의 교육과 멘토링을 통해 ‘경북 특산품을 활용한 무설탕 그래놀라’라는 아이템을 구체화할 수 있었다”며 “앞선 출발선에서 창업에 도전할 수 있도록 지원해 준 포항시와 선린대학교에 감사하다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

한편, 선린대학교 산학협력단은 13년째 포항시의 청년예비창업가육성사업을 위탁 운영하며 지역 내 청년 정주형 일자리 창출과 창업 생태계 조성에 기여하고 있다.

The "Pohang City Youth Pre-Entrepreneurship Development Program" is a regionally-led startup support program that identifies and develops young entrepreneurs aged 39 and under residing in Pohang, providing support from the basics of starting a business to commercialization. This year's program ran for seven months, from June to December, and all 13 participants completed business registration. They also created a total of eight intellectual property rights (IP).

Park Seong-eun, CEO of The Normal, who was selected as an outstanding entrepreneur at the graduation ceremony, said, "I was initially apprehensive about starting a business, but thanks to Sunlin University's education and mentoring, I was able to bring my idea of ​​'sugar-free granola using Gyeongbuk specialties' to life." He added, "I am grateful to Pohang City and Sunlin University for supporting me in my entrepreneurial journey from the start."

Meanwhile, Sunlin University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation has been operating the Pohang City Youth Entrepreneurship Development Program for 13 years, contributing to the creation of permanent jobs for young people and the development of a startup ecosystem in the region.
