【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교 국제교류교육센터는  17일, RISE 사업의 일환으로 믿음관 5층 세미나실에서 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 범죄예방 및 한국 법질서 이해 교육을 실시했다.

이번 교육은 베트남, 몽골, 우즈베키스탄, 키르기스스탄 국적의 외국인 유학생 148명을 대상으로 한국 사회의 법과 제도에 대한 이해를 높이고, 일상생활에서 발생할 수 있는 각종 범죄로부터 스스로를 보호할 수 있는 예방 역량을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

교육에는 포항북부경찰서 소속 경찰관들이 강사로 참여해 실제 사례 중심의 실효성 있는 강의를 진행했다. 심재열 경감은 보이스피싱과 성범죄 예방을 주제로 교육을 진행했으며, 공명재 경위는 데이트 폭력과 불법 아르바이트 예방에 대해 설명했다. 이어 김설아 경사는 교통범죄 및 생활안전 전반에 대한 교육을 맡아 유학생들의 높은 관심과 적극적인 참여를 이끌어냈다.

박정훈 국제교류교육센터장은 “외국인 유학생들이 한국 사회의 법과 제도를 올바르게 이해하는 것은 안전한 유학 생활의 출발점”이라며 “앞으로도 관계 기관과의 협력을 통해 유학생들이 안심하고 학업에 전념할 수 있도록 교육과 지원을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 선린대학교 국제교류교육센터는 매년 1회 이상 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한국 사회에 필요한 기본 법규와 생활안전 교육을 정기적으로 실시하고 있으며, 유학생들의 안정적인 한국 생활 적응과 안전한 캠퍼스 환경 조성을 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있다.

On the 17th, Sunlin University's International Exchange and Education Center held a crime prevention and understanding of Korean law and order training for international students in the seminar room on the 5th floor of the Faith Hall as part of the RISE project.

The training, for 148 international students from Vietnam, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, was designed to enhance their understanding of Korean law and systems and strengthen their preventive skills to protect themselves from various crimes that may occur in their daily lives.

Police officers from the Pohang Northern Police Station served as instructors and delivered practical lectures based on real-life examples. Superintendent Shim Jae-yeol led the training on voice phishing and sex crime prevention, while Lieutenant Gong Myeong-jae addressed dating violence and illegal part-time work prevention. Sergeant Kim Seol-ah then led a training on traffic crimes and general safety, which garnered significant interest and active participation from the international students.

Park Jeong-hoon, Director of the International Exchange and Education Center, stated, "For international students, a proper understanding of Korean society's laws and systems is the starting point for a safe study abroad experience. We will continue to expand our education and support through collaboration with relevant organizations to ensure international students can focus on their studies with peace of mind."
