【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환)는 지난 20일 미국 라로쉬대학교(La Roche University)와 교육 경쟁력 강화와 글로벌 인재 양성을 위한 학술교류협정(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 대학은 긴밀한 협력 체계를 구축하고, 연구 및 교육 협력은 물론 공동 프로그램 개발, 교직원 및 학생 교류 등 다양한 분야에서 상호 협력을 확대해 나갈 예정이다.

체결식에 참석한 전경국 학사부총장은 “이번 협정을 통해 학생들이 국제적 감각을 기르고 글로벌 역량을 한층 강화할 수 있는 기회가 확대될 것으로 기대한다”며 “선린대학교는 앞으로도 체계적인 국제화 교육을 통해 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 인재 양성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

선린대학교 국제교류교육센터는 해외 대학과의 학술교류협정 체결을 비롯해 글로벌 역량 강화 지원 프로그램, 맞춤형 해외 연수, 전공 실무 능력 향상을 위한 어학 강좌 등 다양한 국제화 프로그램을 운영하며 경쟁력 있는 글로벌 인재 양성을 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있다.

한편 라로쉬대학교는 1963년 가톨릭 재단에 의해 설립된 미국 펜실베이니아주 피츠버그 소재의 4년제 종합대학으로, 2025년 프린스턴 리뷰(Princeton Review) 평가에서 미국 미드애틀랜틱(Mid-Atlantic) 지역 최고 수준의 대학 중 하나로 선정되는 등 미국 북동부 지역을 대표하는 명문 대학으로 평가받고 있다.
