【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환)는 11월 25일 오후 4시 40분 대학 내 믿음관 세미나실에서 ‘2025 경북도민행복대학 동부권역 캠퍼스 명예도민석사과정’ 졸업식을 열고 28명의 졸업생에게 학위를 수여했다.

이번 과정은 포항·경주 동부권역 주민을 대상으로 지난 3월부터 30주간 운영됐으며, 수료 기준을 충족한 졸업생들에게는 경북도민행복대학 총장(도지사) 명의의 명예석사학위증과 개근상, 선린대학교 총장 및 평생교육원장 명의의 표창장이 각각 전달됐다.

전경국 원장은 환영사에서 “오랜 기간 꾸준한 학습을 이어온 열정에 큰 박수를 보낸다”며 “이번 교육 경험이 앞으로의 삶을 설계하는 든든한 기반이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

또 곽진환 총장은 “본 기관의 명예석사과정은 지역사회 발전과 개인의 역량 제고에 의미가 크다”며 “급변하는 시대에 현명한 선택과 소통 능력을 갖춘 지역 리더로 성장해주길 기대한다”고 전했다.

선린대학교는 현재 ‘제27기 포항 여성뉴리더 양성과정’을 포함해 지역사회와 연계한 다양한 평생교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

앞서 11월 24일 오후 4시 30분에는 인산관 대회의실에서 ‘2025학년도 취업경진대회 시상식’이 열렸다.

이번 대회는 학생들의 진로 설계 능력과 취업 준비 실전 경험을 강화하기 위해 마련됐으며, ▲입사서류 ▲모의면접(보건/비보건) 등 두 영역으로 진행됐다. 심사를 통해 최종 선발된 25명의 학생이 대상, 최우수상, 우수상, 장려상을 수상했다.

대상 수상자인 장지윤 학생(간호학과 4학년)은 “모의면접 과정에서 받은 세부 피드백이 실전 면접에 큰 도움이 될 것 같아 자신감을 얻게 됐다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

강근영 입학취업처장은 “이번 대회는 학생들이 진로 방향을 점검하고 실질적인 취업 경쟁력을 높이는 기회였다”며 “앞으로도 대학은 학생들의 취업 성공을 위한 체계적 지원을 확대하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 선린대학교는 전문대학 혁신지원사업 및 RISE(지역혁신중심대학 지원체계) 사업 등을 기반으로 입학부터 취업까지 연계된 교육 지원 시스템을 구축해 실무 중심의 취업 역량 강화를 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.

Sunlin University Holds Honorary Resident Master's Program Graduation Ceremony and Career Competition Awards Ceremony

Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) held the "2025 Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University Eastern Region Campus Honorary Resident Master's Program" graduation ceremony at 4:40 PM on November 25th in the seminar room of the university's Faith Building, awarding degrees to 28 graduates.

The program, which began in March and lasted 30 weeks for residents of the Pohang and Gyeongju eastern regions, was awarded an honorary master's degree in the name of the President (Governor) of Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University, a perfect attendance award, and a commendation from the President and Director of the Lifelong Education Center of Sunlin University.

In his welcoming address, President Jeon Gyeong-guk stated, "I applaud the students' passion for continuous learning over a long period of time. I hope this educational experience will serve as a solid foundation for planning their future lives."

President Kwak Jin-hwan also stated, "Our institution's honorary master's program is significant for the development of the local community and the enhancement of individual capabilities. I hope you will grow into regional leaders equipped with wise choices and communication skills in this rapidly changing era."

Sunlin University currently operates various lifelong education programs in partnership with the local community, including the "27th Pohang Women's New Leader Training Program."

On November 24th, at 4:30 PM, the "2025 Academic Year Employment Competition Awards Ceremony" was held in the Insan Hall conference room.

The competition, designed to strengthen students' career planning skills and practical job preparation experience, consisted of two sections: ▲application forms and ▲mock interviews (health/non-health). Twenty-five students were selected through a screening process and received the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Excellence Award, and Encouragement Award.

Grand Prize winner Jang Ji-yoon (4th year, Department of Nursing) said, "The detailed feedback I received during the mock interview process will be a great help in my actual interview, giving me confidence."

Director of Admissions and Career Services Kang Geun-young stated, "This competition provided students with an opportunity to reflect on their career paths and enhance their practical job competitiveness. The university will continue to expand its systematic support for students' job success."

Meanwhile, Sunlin University is continuously pursuing the strengthening of practical job skills by establishing an educational support system linked from admission to employment, based on projects such as the Junior College Innovation Support Project and the RISE (Regional Innovation-Oriented University Support System).
