이번 협약은 행정 운영의 효율성을 높이고 군민 안전을 강화하기 위해 공유재산 관리, 국토이용정보체계 고도화, 재난안전관리 플랫폼 구축 사업을 체계적으로 추진하고자 마련됐다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲공유재산의 체계적인 관리와 효율적 활용을 위한 이용·분석 협력 ▲국토이용정보체계 고도화를 위한 연속지적 및 주제도 정비, 품질관리 협력 ▲군민 안전 강화를 위한 ‘의성형 스마트 재난안전관리 플랫폼’ 구축 지원 등에 상호 협력하기로 했다.

또한 협약 사항의 실질적인 이행을 위해 필요 시 실무협의회를 구성하고, 세부 추진 과제에 대해 지속적으로 협의·조정해 나갈 계획이다.

김주수 의성군수는 “이번 협약은 공유재산 관리와 국토이용정보체계 고도화를 통해 행정의 신뢰도를 높이고, 스마트 재난안전관리 플랫폼 구축으로 군민 안전을 한층 강화하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “LX한국국토정보공사와 긴밀한 협력을 통해 협약 과제를 차질 없이 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
