점검 항목은 근로자 안전수칙 이행 여부를 비롯해 위험물질 관리 상태, 기계·기구·설비의 방호조치 적정성 등 작업 환경 전반의 유해·위험요인을 대상으로 한다. 군은 사전 점검을 통해 위험 요소를 미리 발굴하고, 개선이 필요한 사항에 대해서는 현장 지도와 함께 즉각적인 조치를 병행할 방침이다.

아울러 고령 근로자 비중이 높은 사업장 특성을 고려해 보건관리 분야 점검을 강화한다. 50세 이상 근로자를 대상으로 상시 건강관리와 작업 적합성 확인을 실시해 건강 이상을 조기에 발견하고 체계적으로 관리할 계획이다.

김주수 의성군수는 “안전은 일회성 점검으로 끝나는 것이 아니라 현장에서 지속적으로 관리돼야 한다”며 “사전 예방 중심의 안전보건 활동을 통해 근로자가 안심하고 일할 수 있는 근무 환경을 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
