C형간염은 치료 시 완치가 가능한 감염병이지만, 상당수가 무증상으로 진행돼 조기 발견이 어려워 지역사회 차원의 체계적인 검사 연계와 관리가 필요한 질환이다.

이에 의성군은 2025년 병·의원급 의료기관으로 한정해 시행하던 56세(1969년생) 대상 확진검사비 지원사업을 2026년부터 상급·종합병원을 포함한 모든 의료기관으로 확대하고, 지원 대상을 56세(1970년생) 군민으로 조정해 시행한다. 검사비 지원 상한액은 7만 원이다.

아울러 2025년 국가건강검진에서 C형간염 항체 양성 판정을 받고 확진검사를 받았으나, 검사비를 신청하지 않았거나 종합병원급 이상 의료기관에서 검사를 받아 지원 대상에서 제외됐던 56세 군민(2025년 기준, 1969년생)에 대해서도 2026년 3월 31일까지 신청 시 소급 지급할 예정이다.

신청은 정부24 홈페이지를 통한 온라인 신청이 가능하며, 온라인 이용이 어려운 경우 의성군보건소 감염병관리팀을 방문해 접수할 수 있다. 신청 경로는 정부24 홈페이지 내 ‘보조금24’에서 ‘C형간염 확진검사비 지원’을 선택하면 된다.

김주수 의성군수는 “무증상으로 인해 조기 발견이 어려웠던 C형간염 환자들에게 이번 확진검사비 지원 확대가 치료 연계에 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 C형간염 예방과 관리 강화를 위해 지속적인 홍보와 고위험군 관리에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
