이번 사업은 대상포진 약독화 생백신을 1회 무상으로 접종해 주는 것으로, 2024년 65세 이상을 대상으로 처음 시행된 이후 2025년부터 50세 이상으로 대상을 확대해 운영하고 있다.

접종 대상은 예천군에 6개월 이상 주소를 둔 50세 이상(1976년생 포함) 군민으로, 생일이 지나지 않았더라도 연중 언제든 접종할 수 있다. 또한 예천군으로 전입한 경우에도 전입 후 6개월이 지나면 주민등록초본을 지참해 보건소에 대상자 등록을 한 뒤 접종이 가능하다.

접종을 원하는 대상자는 신분증을 지참해 관내 위탁의료기관 18개소를 방문하면 되며, 2024년 이후 이미 무료 접종을 받은 경우에는 중복 지원되지 않는다.

임미란 예천군 보건소장은 “대상포진은 발병 시 극심한 통증과 후유증을 동반할 수 있는 질환인 만큼, 예방이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “접종 대상에 해당하는 주민들께서는 적극적으로 예방접종에 참여해 주시길 바란다”고 말했다.

Yecheon County (Governor Kim Hak-dong) announced that it will offer free shingles vaccinations year-round for residents aged 50 and older, starting in 2026.

This program provides a free, one-dose, live, attenuated shingles vaccine. Initially launched in 2024 for residents aged 65 and older, the program will expand to cover residents aged 50 and older starting in 2025.

Eligible residents are residents aged 50 and older (including those born in 1976) who have resided in Yecheon County for at least six months. Vaccination is available at any time throughout the year, even within their birthday. Residents who have moved into Yecheon County can also register at a public health center with their resident registration certificate six months after moving in.

Those wishing to be vaccinated can visit any of the 18 designated medical institutions in the county with their ID. Those who have already received free vaccinations after 2024 will not be eligible for additional support.
