대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) LINC+사업단이 제2회 경북도내 대학생 지역사회 현안문제 해결방안 경진대회에서 2년 연속 대상을 수상하는 쾌거를 이루었다.

경상북도내 6개 LINC+사업단에서 주관한 제2회 경북도내 대학생 지역사회 현안문제 해결방안 경진대회에서 대구한의대 거기닷팀이 경상북도 도지사상인 대상을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.

경상북도 도지사상을 수상한 거기닷팀(책임교수 한방스포츠의학과 김홍, 멘토교수 진로개발센터 안창근, 팀장 오은경)은 화장품공학부, 바이오산업융합학부, 노인복지학과, 한방스포츠의학 등 다양한 전공 융합형 팀으로 거창군, ㈜하늘호수, 거창한파머스 등 지자체 및 지역 기업과의 유기적 관계를 적극 활용하여‘사과박 부산물을 활용한 한방사상체질 맞춤형 마스크 팩 개발’이라는 참신한 아이디어를 도출했다.

거기닷팀의 아이디어로 농가의 고민거리인 사과박 처리 문제 해결, 친환경 화장품이라는 소비 가치의 효용, 마스크 착용으로 발생되는 피부 트러블에 대한 효능 등이 기대되고 있다.

또한 제1회 경북도내 지역사회 현안문제 해결방안 경진대회의 대상 수상팀인 활기찬마을만들기팀(책임교수 실내디자인전공 정지석, 팀장 최영채)은 이번 경진대회에서 최우수상(대구대학교 총장상)을 수상하여 2년 연속 수상의 영예를 안았다.

대구한의대학교의 쾌거는 지역사회의 문제를 교과 내에 실천적인 교육 요소로 활용하여 재학생들이 문제인식과 해결대안을 직접적으로 고민하게 하고, 지역사회 현장으로 실행이 가능하도록 대학이 지자체 및 지역기반 산업체 등과의 네트워크를 전방위적으로 구축하고 있기에 가능한 것으로 평가된다.

거기닷팀의 김진주 학생은 “경진대회에 참가하여 준비하는 과정에 지역사회 주민분들의 적극적인 협조, 연계한 기업 관계자 분들의 실질적인 조언, 교수님의 지도와 우리 팀원들의 팀웍이 멋진 조화를 이루어 이런 큰 상을 받을 수 있었다고 생각한다. 고생스럽기도 했지만 이러한 기회가 주어진다면 또 도전하고 싶다”고 대상의 소감을 밝혔다. 

또한 활기찬마을만들기팀의 정진호 학생은 “전공에서 배운 지식을 현장에서 활용한다는 기대감으로 시작한 프로젝트였는데, 직접 프로젝트를 수행하면서 삶의 환경, 주거 공간을 매개로 마을 지역주민들과 호흡하면서 지역사회의 곳곳을 면밀히 느낄 수 있었고, 지역사회를 대하는 우리 청년들의 생각이 달라질 수 있는 기회여서 매우 뜻깊은 시간이였다”라고 수상 소감을 밝혔다.

대구한의대학교 LINC+사업단 박수진단장은“LINC+사업단이 대학과 지역사회, 산업체의 네트워크를 구축하고 상호협력을 통하여 시너지효과를 일으킬 수 있도록 뿌린 씨앗들이 이제 더 큰 결실로 다가오는 시기가 열린 것 같다. 2년 연속 대상이라는 훌륭한 성과를 거둔 대구한의대학생들의 저력이 지역사회의 발전으로도 연계될 수 있도록 다양한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
