【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구 팔거천이 겨울철 대표 놀이 명소로 다시 문을 열었다. 대구 북구청은 팔거천 럭키광장에 조성된 야외스케이트장을 정식 개장했다고 20일 밝혔다.

팔거천 야외스케이트장은 북구를 대표하는 겨울철 놀이시설로, 사전 시험 운영을 마친 뒤 본격 운영에 들어갔다. 올해는 주민 호응을 반영해 지난해보다 7일 연장해 내년 2월 8일까지 52일간 운영한다.

올해로 3번째를 맞는 이 스케이트장은 읍내동 럭키광장에 지난해와 같은 장소에 마련됐다. 숙련자용과 초보자용 스케이트장으로 구분해 운영하며, 얼음썰매장과 아이스튜브슬라이드 등 다양한 겨울 놀이 시설도 함께 갖췄다.

이용객 편의를 위한 시설도 대폭 강화됐다. 휴게 공간과 매점이 지난해보다 확대됐고, 야외 쉼터도 새로 마련됐다. 특히 유아 전용 회전썰매가 새롭게 운영되면서 가족 단위 이용객이 늘어날 것으로 기대된다.

운영 시간은 평일 오전 10시부터 오후 7시까지며, 주말과 공휴일에는 오후 8시 20분까지 추가 회차도 운영된다. 이용 요금은 1시간 기준 스케이트장과 얼음썰매장 1천 원, 아이스튜브슬라이드는 2천 원, 통합이용권은 3천 원이다. 초보자용 스케이트 보조기구와 이색 썰매는 각각 2천 원이 별도 부과된다.

25일에는 크리스마스를 맞아 ‘해피 럭키 크리스마스’ 행사가 열린다. 이날 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지 소망트리, 게임 체험, 사진 촬영 등 다양한 체험 부스가 운영된다.

배광식 북구청장은 “추운 겨울이지만 팔거천 야외스케이트장이 가족과 친구들이 함께 따뜻한 추억을 쌓을 수 있는 공간이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
