【브레이크뉴스 】이성현 기자=제50회 전국소년체육대회 및 제102회 전국체육대회를 대비하여 대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)이 동계 강화훈련 실시에 나섰다.

대구시교육청은 29일 코로나19로 전지훈련이 금지된 상황에서 학생선수들의 체력 및 경기력 향상을 위해 1차와 2차로 나누어 동계 강화훈련을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

 초등학생과 중학생 선수 758명이 참여하는 제50회 전국소년체육대회 대비 2차 강화훈련은 지난 21일부터 시작해 오는 2월 26일까지 이어질 예정이다.

고등학생 선수 471명이 참여하는 제102회 전국체육대회 대비 1차 강화훈련은 29일까지로 마무리 되었으며 오는 2월 1일부터 23일까지 2차 강화훈련이 진행된다.

대구시교육청은 학생 선수들이 훈련을 이어감과 동시에 학업에도 뒤처지지 않도록 운동시간 외에는 온라인 학습 시스템을 통해 기초 학력을 다지게끔 활용하고 있다고 밝혔다.

한편 이번 강화훈련은 코로나19 상황에서 진행되는 만큼 정부 및 지자체의 사회적 거리두기 단계별 훈련인원 제한을 준수하고 있으며 종목별 특성을 반영하되 학생선수의 건강과 안전을 최우선으로 고려하여 과도한 훈련과 피로 누적으로 면역력이 저하되지 않도록 훈련 시간 및 훈련 강도를 조절하여 실시하고 있다.

대구시교육청 관계자는 “현재 코로나19 상황이 지속되면서 전지훈련이 금지되는 등 어려운 점이 있지만 철저한 방역수칙을 준수하는 동계 훈련을 통해 제50회 전국소년체육대회 및 제102회 전국체육대회에서 우수한 성적을 거둘 것으로 기대하고 있다”고 했다.
