【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청은 지난 24일부터 27일까지 경상남도 일원에서 열린 제54회 전국소년체육대회에서 대구 학생선수단이 총 94개의 메달을 획득하며 목표를 초과 달성했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 대회에서 대구는 금메달 29개, 은메달 33개, 동메달 32개를 기록해 당초 목표치였던 87개보다 7개 많은 메달을 거두는 성과를 올렸다.

대회 개막 전 열린 육상 종목에서 유가초 임예서 학생은 초등부 여자 100m, 200m, 400m 계주에서 모두 금메달을 획득하며 3관왕에 올랐고, 대회 최우수선수로 선정됐다. 월배중 김서현 학생은 중등부 여자 100m 허들에서 2년 연속 금메달을 차지하며 대구 육상의 저력을 증명했다.

양궁 종목에서는 송현초 양가온, 덕인초 박서준 학생이 각각 개인전과 단체전에서 두각을 나타내며 총 13개의 메달을 대구에 안겼다. 롤러에서는 동부중 장민기 학생이 10,000m, 1,000m, 3,000m 계주에서 3관왕에, 새본리중 이하진 학생은 2관왕에 오르며 뛰어난 성적을 거뒀다. 사이클에서도 대구체육중 김대엽 학생이 200m와 500m에서, 동부중 김정은 학생이 1km에서 금메달을 획득했다.

이외에도 공기소총, 수영, 카누, 테니스 등 다양한 종목에서 금빛 소식이 이어졌다. 매천중 김민서, 대구체육중 조수아, 매호초 이설림, 군위초 이예성, 군위중 이예린 학생 등이 각 종목에서 금메달을 차지했다.

투기 종목에서는 능인중 강동현과 서지웅, 영신중 김민준 학생이 씨름 각 체급에서 우승했으며, 오성중 진인소 학생이 펜싱 사브르 개인전, 오성중과 매호중이 구성한 대구선발팀이 단체전에서 각각 금메달을 따냈다. 학산중 장봉근 학생은 레슬링, 대곡중 권민제 학생은 태권도에서 정상에 올랐다.

단체 경기에서도 대구는 고른 성과를 보였다. 관문초는 여자 배구에서 금메달을 차지했고, 율금초(여자 농구), 안심중(여자 하키), 사수초(여자 핸드볼)는 은메달을 획득했다. 경상중과 칠성초(남자 야구), 구암중(소프트볼), 평리중(럭비), 율원중(축구)은 동메달을 목에 걸며 대구의 단체전 경쟁력을 입증했다. 이 외에도 바둑, 볼링, 에어로빅 등 다양한 종목에서의 선전도 이어졌다.
