【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=한국가스공사 제18대 최연혜 신임 사장의 취임식이 12일 대구 본사 국제회의장에서 열렸다고 밝혔다.
공사에 따르면 최 신임 사장은 이날 취임사에서 “가스공사는 국제 LNG 가격 폭등 및 수급 불안, 미수금과 부채 비율 상승에 따른 재무 건전성 악화 등 사상 초유의 상황에 직면했다”며, “임직원 모두가 함께 힘을 모아 국민에게 희망을 주는 가스공사로 도약하도록 전화위복의 기회를 만들어야 한다”고 밝혔다.

최연혜 사장은 지난 7일 열린 가스공사 임시주주총회에서 제18대 사장으로 선임, 산업통상자원부 장관 제청과 대통령 재가로 임명됐다. 임기는 올해 12월 9일부터 2025년 12월 8일까지 3년이다.
대전여고와 서울대 독어독문학과를 졸업한 최 사장은 독일 만하임대학교 경영학과에서 석·박사 학위를 받고 철도청 차장, 한국철도대학 총장, 한국철도공사 사장 등을 역임했다.
