【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=고령군(군수 곽용환)이 지난 9일부터 외국인 근로자를 대상으로 한 코로나19 전수검사에서 10명의 확진자가 발생했다고 밝혔다.

고령군이 실시한 이번 진단검사는 경상북도의 외국인 코로나19 진단검사 행정명령 발령에 따른 것으로 관내 사업장 116개소 1200여명을 대상으로 진행되었다.

외국인 노동자의 경우에는 정보 부족과 비싼 의료비에 대한 염려, 불법체류로 인한 추방 등 두려움으로 숨는 경우가 많아 이를 방지하고, 검사 기피를 막기 위해 불법체류 여부는 확인하지 않는다.

특히 기숙사에 집단으로 생활하는 외국인 근로자들에 노동환경에 대한 우려가 컸던 만큼 정부는 사업주들에게도 불법체류 통보 의무도 면제해 주고 있는 상태다.

고령군은 9일부터 12일까지 외국인 근로자 사업장에 대해 전수검사를 실시한 결과 7명의 확진 판정자를 감염병 전담병원에 이송하고, 나머지 3명은 주소지 관할 지역 보건소로 이관하였다고 밝혔으며 확진자와 밀접접촉한 사람들의 명단을 확보하여 조사중에 있다고 전했다.

아울러 12일부터 3일간 고령 1, 2산업단지 내 임시선별진료소 2곳을 설치하여 관련업체 직원을 대상으로 코로나19 감염 전수조사를 실시며 질병관리청의 지휘에 따라 12일 오전 9시부터 해당 기업체 소독 및 폐쇄조치를 취한 것으로 알려진다.
