14일 대구시는 2021년 제1차 경제방역대책의 일환으로 노란우산공제 희망장려금 지원에 시비 13억 원을 투입해 신규가입 4,000여 개 업체에게 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있게 할 계획을 밝혔다.

2019년 하반기부터 시행한 소상공인 노란우산 희망장려금 지원 사업은 작년도 희망장려금 신청·접수 3개월 만에 사업비를 소진할 정도로 인기를 얻고 있어 이번 대구시의 시비 지원은 소상공인들의 어려운 상황에 힘을 불어넣고 지역경제 활성화에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대 된다.

노란우산공제 희망장려금 지원사업은 중소기업중앙회가 운용·관리하는 것으로, 소기업·소상공인의 폐업·사망 등 생계위협으로부터 생활안정 및 사업재기 기회를 제공하는 공적 공제제도이다.

노란우산공제는 월 5만 ~ 100만원까지 1만원 단위로 신규가입이 가능하고 대구시는 이 중 연매출 3억원 이하 영세 소상공인에게 1년 동안 매월 2만원씩 노란우산공제 희망장려금을 지원한다.

또한 연간 최대 500만원까지 소득공제 가능하며 법에 의해 압류가 금지되고 복리이자, 상해보험 지원, 법률·세무·노무·회계 등 전문가 무료 상담 등의 다양한 혜택도 받을 수 있다.

정의관 대구시 경제국장은 “어려운 시기를 견디고 있는 대구시민을 위해 ‘2021년 제1차 경제방역대책’을 마련해 추진 중이다. 이와 동행해 점진적으로 희망장려금 지원금액을 늘려나가고, 노란우산공제 가입대상 확대를 검토해 사회안전망 확충을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
