이날 참배에는 최 군수, 서도원 달성군의회 의장 등 시·군의원 15명, 박승국 달성군 보훈단체연합회장을 비롯한 9개 보훈단체장과 기관단체장 등 120여명이 함께했다.

참배는 국기에 대한 경례, 순국선열과 호국영령에 대한 묵념, 헌화 및 분향으로 진행되었고, 참배 후 군수는 참석자들과 일일이 인사를 나누며 달성군 발전을 위해 한마음으로 지혜를 모아달라고 당부했다.   

 최 군수는 “2023년은 검은 토끼의 해로, 예부터 검은 색은 인간의 지혜를 관장하고, 토끼는 풍요와 번영의 상징으로 알려져 있다.”며“새해 한층 풍요롭고, 보다 번영하는 달성군을 만들겠다는 약속을 군민께 드린다. 오롯이 27만 군민의 삶이 빛나는 군정을 펼치겠다.”고 밝혔다.
