현직 구미시의원이 경북 구미시에서 추진하는 개발 사업 주변 땅을 차명으로 사들인 혐의로 r구속됐다.
지난 5일 대구지법 김천지원 이윤호 영장전담 부장판사는 부패방지법 위반 혐의를 받는 구미시의원 A씨에 대해 영장실질심사를 열고 “증거 인멸 및 도주 우려가 있다”며 구속 영장을 발부했다.
경찰에 따르면 시의원 A씨는 2019년 9월 미리 알게 된 내부 정보를 이용해 구미 도량동에 위치한 꽃동산 민간공원 조성 사업 예정 부지 1,100여 제곱미터를 차명으로 매입한 혐의를 받고 있다.
당시 A 시의원은 해당 부지를 1억3천700여만 원에 매입했으며 이후 보상금 4억 4백만 원을 제안 받아 2억6000여만원의 시세차익을 본 것으로 알려진다.
한편 경북경찰청 부동산투기 특별수사대는 A 씨 외에 또 다른 구미시의원 1명에 대해서도 부동산 투기 혐의로 수사를 진행하고 있다.
