이들은 23년도 공무원 보수인상률을 결정하는 공무원보수위원회를 앞두고 대한민국공무원노동조합(위원장 석현정, 이하 공노총)과 함께 집회와 기자회견, 1인 시위 등 정부에 공무원 보수 인상과 일방적 희생 강요 중단을 지속적으로 요구해왔다.

이 가운데 정부는 지난달 15일 진행한 공무원보수위원회 제2차 전체 회의에서 1.7 ~ 2.9% 보수 인상 구간을 제시하며 수적 우위로 정부 측 안으로 결정하고자 표결처리를 강행하려 했다. 그러나 노조 측 위원과 노조 추천 전문가 위원이 정부에 강력하게 항의하며 전원 퇴장해 최종 의결은 정족수 미달로 진행되지 않았다.

한편 경산시공무원노동조합은 오는 8일과 16일 청사 일대에서 1인 시위를 추가로 진행하고 10일과 17일에는 공노총이 서울 용산 대통령 집무실 일대에서 진행하는 릴레이 농성 투쟁에도 참석해 정부에 '23년도 공무원 보수 인상을 요구하는 투쟁을 이어나갈 계획이다.
