현재 더불어민주당 대구시당위원장으로 출마한 후보는 ▲수성구(갑) 강민구 지역위원장 ▲수성구(을) 김용락 지역위원장 ▲달서구(갑) 권택흥 지역위원장 ▲달서구(을) 김성태 지역위원장 총 4명이다. 

대구시당위원장 선출은 대구지역 전국대의원 현장투표(50%)와 권리당원 온라인 및 ARS 투표(50%) 결과를 합산하여 발표한다.

아울러 이날 대구시당 정기대의원대회를 마친 뒤, 오후 4시 30분부터 그랜드볼룸B에서 차기 당대표 및 최고위원 선출을 위한 합동연설회가 개최된다.

더불어민주당 당대표 후보로는 이재명 후보, 박용진 후보, 강훈식 후보이며, 최고위원 후보에는 장경태 후보, 서영교 후보, 박찬대 후보, 고민정 후보, 고영인 후보, 윤영찬 후보, 정청래 후보, 송갑석 후보가 출마했다.
