【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 기업 성장을 통한 정주 인구 증가와 지역 소멸 대응을 위해 인구감소지역 15개 시·군의 성장 잠재력을 갖춘 중소기업을 ‘버팀목 기업’으로 육성하고, 일자리 창출과 지역 경제 활성화에 나선다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 공모 방식으로 추진되며, 대상 지역은 안동시, 영주시, 영천시, 상주시, 문경시, 의성군, 청송군, 영양군, 영덕군, 청도군, 고령군, 성주군, 봉화군, 울진군, 울릉군 등 15개 시·군이다.

해당 지역에 본사 또는 공장을 둔 제조업 중소기업 가운데 2024년 기준 매출액 10억 원 이상 기업이 신청할 수 있다. 다만, 청송·영양·봉화·울릉 지역 소재 기업은 매출액 기준을 충족하지 않아도 신청이 가능하다.

사업 참여를 희망하는 기업은 2월 4일부터 27일까지 경상북도 및 경북테크노파크 홈페이지를 통해 온라인으로 신청하면 된다.

선정된 시·군별 중소기업에는 연간 최대 5천만 원 이내에서 기술혁신, 성공사업화, 투자유치 등을 포함한 패키지 지원이 제공되며, 최대 3년간 총 1억5천만 원까지 지원받을 수 있다. 이와 함께 별도의 ‘창업 및 경쟁력 강화 사업자금’을 통해 기업당 최대 8억 원 규모의 시설자금을 대출금리 2.5%(변동금리)로 융자 지원할 예정이다.

이재훈 경상북도 경제통상국장은 “지난해 인구감소지역 기업 경쟁력 강화 사업은 맞춤형 지원을 통해 기업과 지역 경제의 성장 가능성을 확인한 과정이었다”며 “2026년에는 지역에 뿌리내린 기업들이 일자리 창출과 매출 증대를 통해 지역의 든든한 버팀목 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Companies interested in participating in the project can apply online through the Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongbuk Technopark websites from February 4th to 27th.

SMEs selected in each city and county will receive a package of support, including up to KRW 50 million per year for technological innovation, successful commercialization, and investment attraction. The total amount of support will be KRW 150 million over three years. Additionally, a separate "Startup and Competitiveness Enhancement Project Fund" will provide facility loans of up to KRW 800 million per company at a variable interest rate of 2.5%.
