【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 청년의 사회참여를 확대하고 현장 의견을 도정에 반영하기 위해 19세부터 39세 이하 청년을 대상으로 ‘경북 청년정책참여단’을 모집한다고 밝혔다. 모집 기간은 2월 25일부터 3월 10일까지다.

올해는 청년 주도 정책 발굴 체계를 강화하기 위해 참여 프로그램을 확대하고 모집 인원을 100명으로 늘렸다. 도는 청년들의 감각적이고 실질적인 제안을 정책에 반영해 체감도를 높인다는 방침이다.

지원 대상은 경북도에 거주하는 청년뿐 아니라, 도내 대학(대학원)에 재학 중이거나 경북 소재 기업에 재직 중인 청년도 포함된다.

선정된 참여자는 2026년 3월부터 12월까지 약 10개월간 활동하며, 도 전역에서 청년의 목소리를 대변하는 역할을 수행한다. 활동은 △일자리 △주거 △교육·문화 △금융·복지 △참여·권리 등 5개 분과로 나뉘어 정책 제안과 개별 프로젝트를 추진하게 되며, 이에 필요한 행정·재정적 지원도 제공된다.

연말에는 성과공유회를 열어 우수 정책 제안을 선정·시상하고, 해당 안건은 관련 부서 검토와 주민참여예산위원회 심의를 거쳐 내년도 도 정책에 반영할 계획이다.

참여를 희망하는 청년은 2월 25일 오전 9시부터 3월 10일 오후 6시까지 경북 청년정책 플랫폼 ‘청년e끌림’ 누리집을 통해 온라인 신청하면 된다. 최종 선발자는 사전 미팅을 거쳐 3월 16일 확정된다.

이상수 경북도 지방시대정책국장은 “청년들이 도정의 주체로서 지역 현안에 대해 직접 의견을 제시할 수 있는 기회”라며 “경북의 변화를 이끌어갈 청년들의 적극적인 참여를 기대한다”고 말했다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do Province announced that it is recruiting members of the 'Gyeongsangbuk-do Youth Policy Participation Group,' targeting young people aged 19 to 39, to expand youth participation in society and incorporate their opinions into provincial administration. The recruitment period runs from February 25 to March 10.

Selected participants will serve for approximately 10 months, from March to December 2026, representing the voices of young people across the province. Activities will be divided into five sub-divisions: jobs, housing, education and culture, finance and welfare, and participation and rights. Policy proposals and individual projects will be promoted, with necessary administrative and financial support provided.

At the end of the year, a performance sharing session will be held to select and award outstanding policy proposals. These proposals will undergo review by relevant departments and deliberation by the Citizen Participation Budget Committee before being incorporated into provincial policies for the next year.

Youth interested in participating can apply online through the Gyeongbuk Youth Policy Platform "Youth e-Attraction" website from 9:00 AM on February 25 to 6:00 PM on March 10. The final selection will be confirmed on March 16 following a preliminary meeting.
