대구 중남구 국회의원 보궐선거 출마자 백수범 후보에 대한 지지 선언이 이어지고 있다. 

2일 오전 영풍제련소 환경오염 및 주민건강피해공동대책위원회는 더불어민주당 대구시선거대책본부에서 백수범 후보 지지를 선언했다.

백수범 후보는 변호사로서 영풍 석풍제련소 낙동강 오염 문제의 공익변론을 맡았던 것으로 알려진다.

영풍제련소 공대위는 지지선언문에서 “낙동강과 뭇 생명들을 위해 낙동강 최상류 오염덩이공장 영풍석포제련소와 맞서 싸워온 백수범 후보를 지지한다.”면서 “백 후보는 낙동강을 위해 솔선수범한 것처럼 대구 중·남구 서민들을 위해 자신의 모든 역량을 발휘할 것으로 믿는다.”고 밝혔다.

같은 날 오후에는 중·남구 주민 62명이 백수범 후보 선거사무실을 찾아 지지선언을 했다.

 이들은 “지역의 정치 독점으로 인해 희망이 사라진 도시에서 희망의 도시를 만들기 위해서 백수범 후보를 지지한다”며 “대구를 위해, 중·남구를 위해 백수범 후보를 선택할 것”이라고 강조했다.

In the afternoon of the same day, 62 residents of Jung and Nam-gu visited the election office of Baek Soo-beom and declared their support.
